I find it quite ironic that even of this picture, the only comment is on Miley ^^

That's because that's not Miley.

It's obviously Macklemore.

Look at the hair.

Fastest way to end this war would be to send the U.S. congress to Syria instead of the U.S. military.

yeah, check out who they are and what their credentials are first, they dont just sit in a circle and lie you know, besides, its the people who ******* elect them

My original comment is to point out that that if at any time we would put congress in harm's way there would be no "debate". I agree that the majority of the voters would vote for a fish if you campaigned them the right way. The vast majority will vote for anyone regardless of their "credentials". But now that we have elected that "Fish" into the office, there is a high chance that the fish is either: an inexperienced idiot put into office by a powerful family, A liar who is corrupted by power, or both. I think we can lose 500 of these people. For the casual onlooker of these comments, please forgive the rantings of two young and sexy Funny junkers.

I don't understand what is so taboo about aiding the Syrians against their horrid government, they used chemical weapons against their own citizens, something that is universally known as a war crime! Sure we've been in two and a half wars for the past thirty+ years, but something like that is just unacceptable.

unless there's something else to it that I'm just not aware of, wouldn't doubt it

The fact that the rebels are no better if not worse than the government. And you give an inch towards engagement and the government will take a mile.

Aw cmon now. The **** that went down in Guantanamo bay was a war crime.
Luckily they decided they could redefine the word 'Torture' to be 'Advanced Interrogation Tactics', so it was totally legit and ok.

You'd be surprised at what higher powers can get away with, as long as they change the name of what they're doing.
Change 'Bombing/Invading' to 'Helping' and there you go.

There is not yet any proof that Assad used the chemical weapons. Obama keeps referring to his proof but how he can't actually tell anyone what it is because it's sooper secret.

there are a lot of problems associated with it, one big one being that the rebels are working with al-qaeda

Well, one problem I have is that the US for the two weeks has been saying "we know it was Assad, we have incontrovertible proof of it" and all they proceed to actually show the public is a paper from the CIA in which they claim to have proof and to be certain it was Assad, but none of the actual evidence was released to the public. Not the satellite images nor the phone call they supposedly tapped or anything else while the Russians, who say it was the Rebels, at least have common sense on their side. Putin is right, why would Assad use chemical weapons, knowing that this would give the US an excuse to join the war, when his troops were winning on all fronts and the war looked to be almost over?

Also, the government may be bad, but the Rebels are worse. The Assads at least let everyone live peacefully together while in many rebel-controlled areas, Christians and Alewites were forced to flee under threat of violence or killed outright. You can also look at any of their vids on Youtube, literally 95% of what they do is yelling "Allah-u-Akbar" at the top of their lungs.

Yes rebels have connections to terrorist organizations, but that is not the majority, their are multiple rebel factions in the current conflict, not all have terrorist connections. Furthermore, that is not enough to overlook the fact that the chemical attack is a war crime under the Geneva conventions, this MUST be dealt with, no other option exists.

yeah, obama's 'proof' could very well just be a shopping list, and instead of reading "bread, eggs, milk, he reads it as 'assad has chemical weapons"

but given his abusing his status...anything he says must be 'true' because 'hes the president"

'name one country in which the USA intervened without leaving collateral victims'

That is impossible and not relevant

Of course there will be deaths, but there will be even more without intervention, if you could end the conflict it saves lives. See Kosovo.

Or Rwanda where the US did jack **** and one million people died. They could have stopped it
