I'll give it 30 and under. Like you said I don't want to put all of them into this category of facebook whores, but a lot of people in this age do just post for likes and to get attention. I'm glad that you're not like this and you don't let yourself be associated with this kind of people. Power to you.

Of course it is. Obesity is a major problem, because it exhausts the the public health center, and the state and companies need to make adjustments for these people, because they have more needs than an average healthy person, like that some companies need to make wider doors, elevators and etc.

Obese people have a shorter lifespan than the average person, which obviously makes them not available at at the job market as much as the average person, which makes them a burden. A lot of obese people can't work either, because they aren't able to do so. Also, and you know this because you're from Scandinavia, some countries have free healthcare.

again, if youre fat, you tend to have an income to pay for the food you eat, second all this creates JOBS and HELPS the infra structure cause they need extra services THEY pay for, and if they have lower lifespan thats their problem isnt it, you dont suffer from them dying before you do

many of them get money from the state, like welfarechecks, which they get because they get because they aren't able to do most labors. They need services that often are provided by the state, which then exhausts the it. If an obese person pays for all his services then that's fine, but it doesn't change the fact that a lot of obese people get money from the state, because they don't work, and they use a lot of services which strains the health sector, which often is provided because of the state, so you don't pay for it, but it depends on the country.

By that logic everything creates jobs. The fact is that it would be a lot better for society that these people weren't obese, so that they wouldn't be needed to be taken care of. You're still right, because it depends on how obese you are. If you're so obese that it is a disability then they would be a burden for the society.

It is a problem because it imposes negative externalities upon others. The amount of people affected negatively by others' addiction to social media sites is virtually nonexistent compared to those impacted by obesity.

Fairly pretentious to assume everyone who uses facebook is an attention whore, I've been to 2 schools and 2 colleges and like to keep in touch with people. It's also good for knowing whats happening locally. Maybe you yourself don't require such a device, but I personally find social media convenient even if it has a lot of dickheads on it.

you cant be serious?
Total number of Facebook users worldwide - 1.2 billion people
Total percentage of 18-24 year olds who already use social media - 98%
Total amount of minutes people spend on Facebook every month - 700 billion
Total pieces of content shared on Facebook each month - 70 billion
Average amount of tweets per day - 190 million
54% of people asked "do you have a facebook account" said yes in a poll taken in 2012

exactly what "small group of annoying, obnoxious teenagers" can come up with those numbers?

Average amount of tweets per day

Assuming all those statistics are correct, that doesn't prove that all 1.2 billion facebook users (which is unlikely to be correct as a lot of people have multiple accounts) are attention-seeking whores. I have facebook, and like a lot of people, I barely post and only use it to keep in touch with people.

So where's the rough number of average posts per person on Facebook?

I'd be a lot more interested to here that number than a load of statistics that proves no more than that there are a lot of Facebook users and doesn't prove that the majority of those people are constantly 'updating their status'.

Also, the majority of people I know don't even HAVE a ******* Twitter and the ones that two are usually vilified if they even mention that they're 'so tweeting this'.
