I' m going to be the devil' s advocate on this one. This game even ffyou understand it or not, can relate to it or not or consider it art or not, is a step forward in game design.
First, on N! there are people who consider "gameplay", a term that they through around and most likely haven' t bothered defining, is important in a game. Well, this game is gameplay in it' s most basic form and I don' t say this lightly or with any intention to troll, at no point during the game does it break to offer
you a cutscene instead it relies on solely on it' s gameplay for the player to relate to the character' s. No matter how poorly written or different they may be to you, the game pushes this effort incessantly without breaking it' s rule.
There are most certainly people in this thread also think that story telling in games is unnecessary or a hindrance to the medium, to those people I suggest you take a closer look at this game and see what it strives to do and you' ll notice that it' s the same kind of environmental storytelling that has been
attempted in the past (Das, Sotc) taken to a level where it works completely synchronized with the mechanic' s and artistic intent of the game- It represents a step in videogames where developer' s can clearly see that story and cutscenes can be used in a way to help gameplay instead or being a reward
system.
To those of you who consider that games are not art than I urge to educate yourselfs further.
I also think that there are some of you that think that the story is bad and testjust proves that you' missed the point, this game is trying to make you play it and play' s with your expectation' s, it' s trying to make discover and finish and the pay off never being to your expectations is the point. It also does this
by pissing you off by including feminism which ultimately is a clever tool used by the developer' s to fuel its success.
Regardless of what you rage about it is a well crafted interactive experience.

No, this is a step forward in the BORING REALISM department. Ifl wanted to rummage through someone' s house to Idam about a gay child I' d do it at your place.
