If you start to judge games on how good they look and not how well it plays then you have a problem.

I've spent so long in minecraft, when i looked away from the screen, i wasn't even sure if the sun was rising or setting.

There's a certain balance that has to be made between gameplay and graphical quality. While some games, such as Minecraft, are designed so that the graphics perfectly accent the gameplay elements, games such as Battlefield and Call of Duty would be at a severe handicap if their graphics were at an equivalent level.

Graphics are not everything, nor should they ever be, but if they are utilized in a similar way to how Minecraft was developed, the graphics will add to the gameplay and increase the enjoyment received from playing such games.

Soooooooo what you are trying to say is that we should only compare games that are of the same genre . Am i getting this right ?

You should never compare games any other way.

Does saying "Call of Duty is better than Skyrim because it has online" make any sense?

You can compare genres in the sense of the comparing pros and cons of said genres, but you shouldn't compare genres based on opinion -- that starts arguments.
