The middle ages ended with the beginning of the renaissance, the renaissance begun somewhere in the 1400s (depending on source), turkey was introduced to Europe (more specifically England) in 1550.
So I highly doubt a knight in the middle ages would have a turkey leg.
Unless he have been fighting the turks and that is how he has gotten his hands on a leg of turkey, but it looks distinctly bird like to me.
