You use the middle one with your dick. This is why women are bad drivers.

I cant drive an automatic for ****. Manual is definitely the way forward, faster gear change = a hell of a lot more control and speed

You know, changing gears faster is actually the reason automatics are slower in races and in general. In an automatic, it changes gear as soon as it is capable of doing so, whereas in a manual, you have the control to get the most potential power and speed out of each gear.
And to say you can't drive an automatic...really? It's the same as a manual but you don't have to do the gear changing yourself.

That may be true on a circuit or on flat (fairly) straight roads, but when it comes to country roads, sharp corners, pot holes and hills automatics just don't cut it. Well the ones I've driven certainly haven't.

Here's how you do it:
Exactly like manual, except for the gear switching.

I wasn't quite clear enough, I live in Scotland so I've grown up learning to drive a right hand drive manual. The only time I've ever driven an automatic was in America, opposite roads, left hand drive, and the pedals are pushed to the left meaning you're meant to use your right foot on the brake? I don't know, but I don't think it's pathetic at all .

Dunno, a majority of my friends who can drive can drive a stick,
the one time I let one of the other friends drive it he started it fine but killed it almost immediately afterward.
And my friend Kenzie won't drive something unless it's a manual.
moral of the story: driving a manual isn't hard

I've driven manuals since I first started driving. I now have an automatic and while it's nice to not have to worry about shifting, I do miss it.

The car in the image has 3 pedals as well, it's a manual, Automatic cars do all the clutch work for you, so you only get the Break and Accelerator

She makes the jokes more than I do.

But I don't blame anyone who can't drive a manual, I've only ever met a handful of people who can.
