I thought AC was better by such an insane distance, mostly because the jump function in Dishonored was literally the ******* most retarded jump function in a game I have seen to date.

Seriously, double jump takes you the same distance, only double the height, why not even it out make moving around enviroments a choice not just blinking everywhere and having to wait for your bar to refill before you can get across that gap?

Didn't even bother finishing that piece of crap. There was some cool stuff, i'll give it that but for everything in it that I liked there was 2 things I disliked even more.

I disagree with your opinion. While I was a strong Assassin's Creed advocate up until the third one, Dishonored was the better game gameplay wise simply because it actually makes you feel like an assassin. In AC, you walk around wearing a ******* Assassin's uniform, and in missions that require stealth, the game basically tells you where to go, what to do, and if you're spotted, it forces you to do it over again.

Meanwhile, Dishonored takes a page from both Hitman and Thief in that, while the game does focus on stealth, it doesn't hold your hand through the missions, and there are tons of ways to complete assassinations. Also, you if you get caught, it doesn't start you over, you just have to fight your way out of tough battles. Both games have their strengths and weakness, but Dishonored was clearly the better stealth game.

I like Assassins Creed, but it doesn't even come close to Dishonored in terms of actually "assassinating". Dishonored actually feels like you're sneaking around and plotting the kill. Assassin's Creed has just become a hack and slash where you just fight endless guards until there's a cutscene where you assassinate someone. There's almost no stealth involved, let alone assassinating.

It's still more fun to kill people in Assassin's Creed than in Dishonored in my opinion.

I personally think thief is one of the best stealth series. I hope the upcoming thief is not ruined by the new generation of gaming where its all handed to you and easy as **** .

So awhile ago when I was 6 or something, my dad got Thief Deadly Shadows (he's never gotten a thief game before but he did play Splinter cell). I would watch him play, but this was when he started to have to dedicate more time to his job, so past the first real mission (the one with the Blood Opal) he never played it again. I tried playing it shortly after, but I thought it was really scary as I was young. I just recently found it in my game library, and though, "Hmm, might as well give it another go." So, now that I can logically think in a video game instead of going in guns blazing on wasy mode in Halo:CE, I can think of strategy and such. I really hadn't played any other games previously that required advanced thought other than strategy games. When I started playing it, I was like, WHERE HAS THIS THING BEEN ALL MY LIFE IWANTITTOHAVEMYCHILDREN! That is all.

Dishonored may be better than MOST the AC's... But there's still that one game, the best in the entire series (Seriously, when they said they wanted their next game to be better than AC1 they ******* meant it, hell they did so good everything they made afterwards was mediocre by comparison)

I understand what people say about these two games and how Dishonored takes more planning or strategy than hack-and-slash AC, but that's not completely true. AC can be played in two ways, strategy, timing and stealth, or brute forcing through 30 templars. I respect that about AC and aside from being a huge faggot fanboy of the series, it's partially why I like it more than others in its genre. When I play each game for the first time, I like to listen carefully to all the dialogue and actually use elements of the game that most people didn't even bother with acknowledging the existence of *cough*bombcrafting*cough*. When I go back over them, it's equally as fun to cut through hundreds of enemies using cheap counter moves.

Before I played the game I heard it's possible to beat without killing anyone so I tried that first. took me a while to figure out some of the ways especially the one where you brand the guy a heretic but otherwise pretty easy.
