Not another Marilyn Monroe quote...

Obviously this is not a real quotation. I just came across it and thought it was funny how true it is. As there is so many annoying little girls who use all these bullcrap Monroe quotes.

For example. Some bitch cheats on her boyfriend, two days later on Facebook they come out with this: "I have feelings too. I am still human. All I want is to be loved, for myself and for my talent: Marilyn Monroe"

Marilyn Monroe was the biggest whore (but a clever one) of her time, she slept with many famous men only for her own profit.

And his biography says she slept with many girls too...

So, is very funny how this girl is an "inspiration" for many people.

i don't understand why having sex with a lot of people makes you a bad person and means you can't be an 'inspiration'...

I'm agree with you, but this is my reason;
Have sex with someone for pleasure-> Fine
Have sex with someonefor money, power, etc-> Bad.
That's all.

Gee. I'm not going to say the whole, "we're not all the same" phrase. FJ really does seem to hate females lately though. I'm not a feminist, I've never used or posted anything "justgirlythings", I liked Monroe in "Niagara" and other than that I know we share a birthday. I just don't see the big deal.
Why not share good quotes that are real? Sigmund? Bierce? Twain? They've all got quotes that poke fun at females, and they're not half as stupid, they're enjoyable.

You are not permitted to kill a woman who has wronged you, but nothing forbids you to reflect that she is growing older every minute. You are avenged 1440 times a day.
-Ambrose Bierce

Funnyjunk has always hated women. And it always wil.

I guess I just don't remember there being so much hatred on FJ seven or so years ago.

I like to poke fun at things, I just don't see the reason for outright hatred. Where's the funny in that?

I can laugh at myself, and make fun of my sex. I don't feel the need to stand up for other women either. I guess I just can't jump on the bandwagon when it's real, instead of just for fun. Clever banter or witty insults are fun. Flat hatred with little sense is just ignorance and not very entertaining.

I think it's just bitterness, really. And misplaced arrogance.

Because chances are if you actually go outside and meet a fat bitchy female, you'll find that her role model is Marilyn Monroe, and for all the wrong reasons; making this content more relevant to modern life than authors only bibliophiles know about.
I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just saying that this content is extremely accurate.
#26 to #13 - stagger (08/29/2013) [-]
I don't think so.
Most of the kids these days barely know who she is. She's just the face on their t-shirt.
What about people that idolize her for her skills, not for her words? I've seen some of the movies she's in, and she was a great actress.

Attention is empowerment. I know plenty of guys with stupid idols, I don't see the big deal. Why let someone elses "hero/ ******* " affect you?

If someone is a complete ******* idiot, it's not because of someone they idolize; it's because they're a big ******* idiot. Choices.
User avatar #30 to #26 - tittylovin (08/29/2013) [-]
I used to have a friend whose idol was Marilyn Monroe, and owned several items (shirts, stickers) with quotes misattributed to MM. (For years I've had a hobby of checking Wikiquotes for any given quotes veracity. Yes, I am weird.) The way she idolized and used MM to justify her own actions fit the bill of a lot of content that lambastes people who do so.

She hadn't actually seen any of he movies she was in, so we're both right really.
Again, I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just saying that this DOES happen, I've seen it with my own eyes.

Also, it's not about them being female. I know guys have stupid idols too, but it doesn't bother me as much because they generally have a more accurate view of their idol. It really only bothers me because people don't fact check, and if called out on it, they refuse to even entertain the notion that they're wrong.

tl;dr people that don't check their facts before basing their lives on them piss me off.

No. Fat chicks use her as an excuse to wear a bikini at the beach

Why you would want to quote the biggest whore/drug addict who ever lived I don't know and to make things worse she's a woman! women don't know things

I get you man. Finally someone understands how this woman was a drug addict whore who had two affairs with married men. Yet, she is seen as an "inspiration" to girls.
User avatar #4 to #3 - psychopsychedelic (08/29/2013) [-]
Well, she did have kind of a sucky life.

I don't know if that justifies her actions. She was apparently really a pretty nice person, and a "candle in the wind".
#2 to #1 - digitalmasterx (08/28/2013) [-]
because she is pretty, even women are sexist
