I'm forced Every time I watch a youtube video, my internet freezes and I'm forced to reboot my computer.

I've updated drivers, uninstalled/reinstalled my flash players, enabled certain ports with the modem, nothing has worked.

Can't watch youtube anymore, my internet browsing time has been cut in half.

... I want to waste my time effectively again, please, help!

What happens when you play the video? Does it conk out before/during/after it plays the video?
What does it actually do when it conks out? Does the screen freeze and/or go black? Does the video/screen glitch out? Does anything else weird happen?
Can you watch videos from other sources, like vimeo.com ?
Can you watch videos on other devices?

Has this always happened since you got the machine or just recently?
Are you using Windows XP or 7?
----------
All in all, it's probably an issue with your video driver on your computer. If the manufacturer hasn't come out with a driver update, then short of getting a dedicated graphics card (assuming desktop computer and not a laptop), there's probably not much you can do.

As a person who also has a computer that hates YouTube I know that feel. For me, watching the video is fine, but when I try to exit the video it locks up and my video driver restarts, killing whatever game I may have been playing in the background.

I'm using Windows 7. It started happening recently. Yes, I can watch other videos that aren't sourced from Youtube.

The video freezes 9 seconds in, then my browser stops working. I can get on Steam, but I can't bring up another browser window and it load.

When it errors, it just sits and loads. It never gets any further and I can't re-watch what I just saw.

Uhh what kind of computer are you using? (Brand)
Also what browser do you use?
Your internet company could be a small part of it if you have a bad internet plan.
Do you use multiple devices on your modem at once?
Ultimately it's most likely your computer.
