how far would the bullet even travel though? don't they just blow up after a couple feet? I'm pretty sure I've watched the mythbusters episode where they tested this.

didn't they shoot it onto the surface of the water though? I imagine it's different if it doesn't have to hit the surface first.

Bullets can travel short distances under water like in the video, however a bullet being shot outta the water into it is a whole nother story... They stop dead in their tracks 99% of the time and the bullets shatter due to hitting the water.

Honestly the problem is if itswater like in a chemical pool the water won't conduct the electricity well, it would have to be salt water with high salt content. Don't kill me.
