>Sittin on bench
>Listening to Vocaloid on my iPhone
>Older woman walks by and hears my headphones
>Informs me that I'm listening to "the devil's music."
>Tells me that I need to go to Church
>facepalm
>"I don't think that the devil speaks Japanese."
>She responds "That's not the point. The point is that music is sinful."
>"Do you speak Japanese?"
>"No."
>"Then how do you know that it's sinful if you don't know what they're saying?"
>"I just know! I mean, it's not in English"
>A few people are onlooking now
>Golden opportunity arises to **** around with stupid person
>"So, because this music isn't in English means that it's the devil's music?"
>"Yes. That and some other reasons."
>"So, if it were in Aramaic, you're sure Jesus wouldn't mind?"
>She stands a bit confused
>"No, because it's not in English."
>A couple starts laughing and then a couple other people laugh
>She looks flustered
>MFW I tell her that everybody with an elementary understanding of history knows that Jesus spoke Aramaic
>She calls me a liar and storms the **** off
>Got a small crowd laughing and clapping
>Go back to music

Don't worry. I've gotcha!

It's a kind of music that uses a program to sing the lyrics called "Vocaloid," produced by Yamaha. The first character used to characterize the voice was "Hatsune Miku," ant the product pretty much took off from there. Here's a few that I like just to give you an idea of what it is:

Nope. Lola and Leon were the first. Miku was the 7th.

It represents her status as Crypton's first character Vocaloid, which are ones that represent a certain type of person. She is CV01, and represents, of course, a cute high school girl.. Len and Rin are both CV02, and Luka CV03. CV04 is still being created.

A voice synthesizer program made by Yamaha. Comes in many voices! Which resulted in the creation of characters like Miku, Len, etc.

tldr: voice synthesizer with fanart
