So now the bank has to jack up rates on everyone else's mortgage to recoup their money. If the bank goes under, then all those who deposited their money will lose it. Floyd committed his crimes just before the FDIC was founded, so there was no insurance on deposits. Furthermore, the bank will have to deny more risky loans to anyone who is not wealthy because they cannot assume the extra risk. That means poorer families will not get to live in a house. Faulty logic about debt and loans were a major reason for the recession that started in 2009, and the real estate market has barely recovered. Yes, there is such a thing as unfair debt and excessive interest rates on individuals, but abuse of bankruptcy and clearing debt costs everyone else.

Am I the only one who thinks that destroying the morgage papers was actually pretty ****** up? I get that people think banks are "evil" and all, but the truth is that, provided interest isnt crazy high, banks allow people to make their dreams become a reality through loans (building a house, buying a car, starting a business).. And you should have to pay back those loans...

I provide IT support to smaller community/reginal banks and manage thier servers. I know how much people there make and how much the bank actually makes and it really isnt all that much. And I know that if someone destroyed all their morgage papers, that would destroy the bank and peoples jobs.

I live just a few miles from where pretty boy floyd was killed. The funeral home that handled his body is now a recovery club for addicts

There is a good movie about him, where he is portrayed by Channing Tatum. Johnny Depp and Christian Bale are also in this movie. It's called Public Enemies.
I recommend watching this movie, imo it's a good one.

Its sad when in this country the criminals are being heroes and the government that supposed to help us is dragging us down.
