"first" you expulsed the natives on the islands, way before the french and you, there were natives that now are part of Argentina, thus we were there first, you just invaded all that you could, same with india, and australia, the malvinas should be argentinian, the malvinas ARE argentinian

Yet 99.8% of them would prefer to be citizens of Britain. So Argentina would be the aggressor in the Falkland/ Malvina incident.

"Natives that are now part of Argentina" No, Argentinians are spanish immigrants that colonised what is now known as Argentina.

If you want them all you have to do is take the Falklands (not your Malvinas ********* ). And there were no natives. Maybe there were hundreds of years ago in their wooden canoes, not when we landed.

Maybe we want the islands because every right of discovery says we rightfully own them. We've owned them since 1690, before Oil was even a natural resources used by the human race. The entire population of the Islands want to remain under British sovereignty. You've been dog trained by your pmsing bitch Kirchner to bark when she wants. And you criticise me for resorting to force? I'm sorry, so you peacefully landed on the islands and politely asked that we left? No actually, you invaded illegally, terrorised the populace and destroyed their homes, then you wonder why the Islands vote to remain under our leadership. You puddle of scum, please remove your genes from the Earth.

Argentina? Isn't that the country we kicked the everloving **** out of during the Falklands War?

Not britfan here, but that statement along with that reaction pic made me laugh.

Take my thumb.

>We

You were there? How was it? Do you feel proud about something you were not part of personally?
User avatar #209 to #177 - hargleblarg ONLINE (08/23/2013) [-]
I wasn't there, but I'm proud of my country. In England it's a popular saying of "we" meaning the country as a whole, not "me and the rest of them". When I say "We beat the everloving **** out of" I mean England, not myself personally.

you didnt kick us, you were so scared that you threatened with using nuclear bombs, thats why we had to surrender, also that was a chicken move by you

Yes, we were terrified of the Argentinians who, at first, couldn't deploy their Air-to-Ground bombs correctly, making them simply shatter on ship decks instead of detonating.

We were terrified of your invasion of the islands, despite you taking staggering losses, losing 11,000 men who were taken prisoner, over double our own casualties, and losing more ships and planes than we did.

We lost 10 fighter planes. You lost 35 fighters and 2 bombers.

We never threatened nukes, we simply beat the **** out of you until you surrendered. We protect what's ours and you tried to take it from us, big mistake.

The Falklands War is the only time the scream of a Vulcan bomber was accomponied by the cries of death and despair. You lost, not by threat of nuclear war, not by any other means other than your own arrogance, thinking you could invade and claim the Falklands as your own simply because we were half a world away.

And even today your government is trying to take the Falkland islands away from us to hide the bigger issues your country is suffering, to keep themselves in office.

You're welcome to try.

A pertinent, well reasoned answer in this sort of argument is an oddity. The more of nocta 's counter arguments I read, the more amused I am. "Butthurt brits" was a particular gem, possibly indicative of his intellect. I do hope he replies to me next.

Falklands wasn't really a war, it was the equivalent of a tall guy holding back a little person.
User avatar #148 to #42 - snowshark (08/23/2013) [-]
Yeah but the little person always says "This means war" afterwards so it's borderline at the very least.

History is full of civilians taking up arms against military attack and succeeding and huge under dog victories. I feel one under dog victory (if it maybe called that) worth mentioning is an island 37.92 times smaller than the USA dominated a quarter of the worlds land surface at it's largest..
User avatar #150 to #26 - snowshark (08/23/2013) [-]
Or the Haitian revolution where the black slave population rose up and kicked the crap out of their white overlords and are still independent to this day.

The examples are endless. Sadly, the examples of brave citizens being crushed by the governments they opposed are even more numerous. The most topical example of brutal military regimes would be Syria.
