He's denied that in an interview, actually.

Not surprising... All these "did you know" are always complete bullshit.

For some reason, every time I see him, I think of the medic from TF2. Even the hair style's the same.

In the time it took for you to read this post, Stephen King has written and published a 600 page novel.

Mr. KIng never really did it for me. I never felt that his work was so dark or scary. Lovecraft and Koontz surpass him in my opinion.

Stephen King writes really good books, mostly about horror. The two you named aren't horror right? maybe that's why you didn't enjoy him as much.

Very possible.
Repressed memories.

So, what your saying is that if I "witness" my good friend getting hit by a train, i'll become as good as Stephen King??

I was abused as a kid (not molested, you freak) and I have no memory of the vast majority of the events.

I have panic and anxiety disorders, PTSD like symptoms and I am depressed. Sometimes I wish I could remember it all, so I could process it and hopefully relieve the chronic issues it has caused. I feel like there's a monster inside my mind, sabotaging me and I just can't find it.

In AP psychology we learned there is absolutely no basis or evidence for repressed memories. There's cases where children have witnessed their parents murder and they remember every graphic detail. Every holocaust survivor ever interviewed remembered every moment of being in concentration camps. Soldiers coming back from war suffer from post traumatic stress. My teacher said it was something Freud made up with no empirical evidence at all, and it is actually possible to make someone think they had a horrible experience and "repressed" it.

Tl;dr you can't repress memories

What if he killed his friend by pushing him infront of the train?
