I don't think you understand what he was saying. If we found a bunny fossil dated to the Cambrian period, evolution would be wrong. If we found a triceratops fossil dated to the most recent ice age, evolution would be proven wrong. Period.

Actually, the Triceratops example is flawed, but the bunny example is spot on. The argument doesn't work in both directions. By the last ice age, Triceratops had already existed. Rabbits didn't exist until long after the Cambrian period. The argument hinges upon the notion that there is a distinct evolutionary progression through time, and that some forms (or groups) originated before others.
