I have been using PC's my entire life and have never even once seen a blue screen. To be fair we do upgrade every 3-4 years Am I the only one?

I've only gotten them a few times, but not since building one with actually decent hardware. So I suppose no, you are not alone.

The only one i ever experienced

>have windows vista
>buy 2 2GB sticks of DDR2 RAM
>wrong ******* speed
>computer starts doing tons of weird ****
>Blue Screen
>remove sticks
>computer works fine again

I still have the sticks in a drawer next to me, but when i get a gaming computer, i have 2 sticks of DDR3 4GB RAM ready to install in the new computer

I built my current computer about 3 weeks ago now, and it took me 1 whole week to get a BSoD.

First time I saw one was when I had Windows 8. It wasn't the OS, apparently I had a damaged RAM stick...sill need to replace it...

I rarely came across Blue Screens of Death on XP.
However, as I grew older (and cockier) and started using Vista/ 7... I've come across countless BSoDs.

One of the first few that I remember was something like:
>have new laptop
>laptop has vista
>friend pressures me into getting Cheat Engine
>use teamviewer
>he's helping me try and hack a game
>narrow down the list of ips
>I go out on a limb and change the value of a random ip
>friend says: "You DO know you just changed the value of a static IP, right?"
>me: "Yeah, so?"
>him: "Alright, well if something bad happens, don't go crying to me"
>suddenly
>Blue Screen of Death

Otherwise, all other blue screens afterwards have been hardware related. (IE, failing HDD)

I get BSOD plenty of times when I'm overclocking my CPU and finding stable clock speed. Some of BSOD came from unstable GPU overclock or bad old drivers.
