Think about the guy who discovered milk.

Walked up to some random cow.
Starts jerking his large nippletits.
Get some white ****.
Drink it.

People use that hypothetical a lot, but I think was more like, "Hey look at that calf drinking out of its mother. I wonder if I can drink that, too."

"I wonder if that's anything like what my kid drinks from my wife's tits."

I don't know, (wo)man, I wasn't there.

I can understand how someone wonders if it's drinkable from a cow.

But my previous point was: what was the guy doing when he figured out that THAT was the way to get the milk out.

Because that's what the calf shoves its face in.

Pic unrelated.

Or how bout the first guy who discovered eggs.

See's egg come out of a chicken's butt.
Says to himself,"I'm gonna eat that."

It's common sense if you think about it. Well, it is for me. And I find calculus common sense as well. Anyway, I'm not here to show off.. The dice itself is plastic. Plastic things melt at around 120-130 C (It depends on the quality, some go as low as 70 while others as high as 260). If you don't let it melt too much, the majority of the plastic will rest at the bottom, meaning there's a much much greater chance of the dice landing on the number you want it to.

probably just a clever guy thinking "how could I rig these dice?" and several days later he figures this out

They do research on it and experiment. Ya know, like people usually do? Or did you also think we just stumbled upon cars?

Hm, how do rig these dice?

Well, if the number you want on the bottom is heavier, you end up with the wanted number on top!

and of course, they gotta find out ways to do this, which is fairly obvious seeing as they're plastic, which melts when exposed to not-too-extreme temperatures.

Well the plastic would move around if it hadn't solidified. Iy may have still been liquid inside.

I tried it with some red-transperatent Vegas dice (those poker ones). 60° for about an hour. Worked, but could have been better.
