It's embarrasing that OP wrote "you're doing it right" to himself.

"NSA will certainly reply, not mark it as spam, and/or be bothered!"

Hey guys! I just read one of the thousands of emails we get, and it bothered me so much! I wish the guy who sent us this email would quit messing with us like that!

"Sorry, we can't. That information is classified"

Firstly, they would have to get a court order saying that they can target you and look for your info. This would include having to prove probable cause of you being a security threat and also that they have 'reasonable belief' that you're not an American citizen or a foreign national currently residing in the US.
Secondly, given that you most likely ARE an american citizen, the request would be denied and they wouldn't even be able to search their database for your info, which even if it were analysed by the supercomputers would have to be redacted according to strict minimization procedures.

Oh but I forgot, the scary 'whistleblower' said you were being spied on and you believed him because you want your government to be corrupt.

here's whats going to happen, the dude is going to stop reading it mid paragraph and delete it, this would waste a grand total of at max 30 seconds of his or her time. Grats OP you sure showed them.

So Dan Brown (writer of Davinci Code and Angels & Demons) wrote a book called Digital Fortress in 1998 in which the NSA had designed a super computer program called TRANSLTR that analyzed, cataloged and stored all the world's internet communication in an attempt to locate terrorists before they had the chance to do whatever it was they were going to do.

Then in 2007 PRISM was born and it does more or less the same things TRANSLTR did in the book.

PRISM was not designed to subdue the population of the world, but to root out the bad guys from the good guys and catch them before any real harm was done. PRISM is what reads through your emails, not the NSA employees. It scans your internet communications for trigger phrases to see if you're a threat. If you're not, the information is never seen by an NSA employee, but probably stored somewhere or more likely deleted from their data storage.

If you are marked as a threat by PRISM they need to get a warrant from whatever official can grant it and then explore your communication history to determine whether or not you actually are a threat and then act accordingly.

Anyone who calls Edward Snowden a "Hero of the People" is a moron. The guy basically told every criminal and terrorist organization in the world "THIS IS HOW WE'RE FINDING YOU GUYS!" and now they can attempt to find a work around to further evade the NSA.

If you don't have something to hide then you shouldn't have any issues with the NSA using PRISM to locate terrorists.

Do I have to have something to hide to have an issue with the government collecting and storing metadata of my internet and phone records? If the choice is between living under a false sense of complete security while being watched over by an increasingly Big Brother government, or allowing certain risks in the name of freedom and private independence, I will choose the latter every time. It's only a matter of time before this gets worse. They know they can get away with more; this is just the first step.

1. Download hundreds of ten hour videos from youtube
2. Name all of them child porn or bestiality or some other illegal ****
3. NSA has to watch every second of it as evidence
4. ???
5. Profit

Am I the only one that wants to know if they sent it, and if they did, if the guy got his porn?
And perhaps what the porn was?

"since you guys keep metadata backups of my browsing history"

...yeah, um, I'm pretty sure they don't do that.
unless you regularly visit sites on how to commit terrorism.
do people actually believe that **** ?
