many people confuses "wish" with "intention".

the first fails always, the second never fails.

a year and a half ago my intention was to date this girl I know, and it still is. So far it's been 100% failure.

I want to be immortal, to control time and matter

I guess I just don't want it enough

P.S. I know he covered that, but it still ******** . The fact that I don't want to the things I have to do to achieve the thing I want. doesn't mean I don't want the thing. It means I'm a lazy ass that gets which is most accessible.

he also talks about **** you cant affect.

This comic is a massive crock of **** . People born into poverty with no hopes of advancement should just "stop worrying" about it because it's not something they can change? Social advancement is still possible but it requires far more luck than skill and somebody can work their ass off constantly as hard as they can for years and still not make it higher than middle class if they start from the bottom. Yes, hard work pays off, but only so much.

That might be the most flawed logic of all time

While comics like these are nice they often come form the some of the luckiest, well off, and quite often naive people to ever walk the Earth.

Life isn't that simple, and for many of us things like "luck" and "choice" aren't so easy.
**** like this is insulting to people who have it harder than others.

I mean **** , two men can work just as hard and achieve vastly different results.
We are all born into different conditions and get different amounts of luck.

Frankly I don't give a **** about spoiled people who don't even know what they want.
Bleeding desire against insurmountable odds, being put on the brink of life and death, the endless despair and struggle; until you truly experience the dark side of living then you don't really have a right to say anything.

Won't even mention the nearly 1/3 of the starving human population, et cetera. First world ******** .

tl;dr This comic brings up great points but it is also kind of full of **** .

Regardless of the flaws in this comic, I'm still pretty pissed I can't breathe underwater as well. How tight would that be?

That would be pretty awesome as well. I've always wanted to be able teleport myself. Kinda like jumper or something I guess? Minus Samuel L. Jackson trying to kill me

This kinda reminds me of the monologues in Calvin and Hobbes...

Damn objectivists for not letting us play the victim. Damn them for forcing us to take responsibilities for our lives. Damn them for letting people take pleasure in the works of their own labors instead of guilt for being ambitious. And damn them for liberating the strong from the weak so that the great may rise while being rewarded by money while the weak also rise from the fruits of the labors of the strong.

What is the original source for this comic? I want to do this piece for UIL Prose and I need to find where it comes from for documentation.

This comic is Taoism simplified to the maximum. There are ways to explain the flaws of the comic but I have no idea how to do that from the perspective of an ideology that promotes lack of useless knowledge.

Success isn't measured in wealth. Success is the feeling that you can die happy knowing you've accomplished everything you ever set out to do. I think everyone should strive to be successful.

Wow that guy is a miserable cunt...
User avatar #21 to #14 - harbingerwolf ONLINE (08/11/2013) [-]
But he is?
He's one of those cunts that seems to think everythings possible, blind to the truth that not everyone can do everything they want, no matter how badly they want it. His whole relevation seems to be "stop liking what you like and like something easier".
