This is what it says:

"Kate McCormick Seduced and pregnant by her father's friend, unwed, she died from abortion, her only choice. Abandoned in life and death by family. With but a single rose from her mother. Buried only through the kindness of unknown benefactors. Died Feb.1875 age 21.

Victim of an unforgiving society, Have mercy on us."

Am I the only one who thinks six decades of love shouldn't be considered a "dark moment of history"?

Sorry but the kids that got hit by lightning is not a dark moment in history. They just had never learned about the signs of lightning. See their hair? That means that there's a positive charge on the ground searching out for a cloud. If you ever see your hair do that in a lightning storm, you run as fast as you can.
User avatar #15 to #4 - icameheretotroll (08/09/2013) [-]
You actually shouldn't run, it makes it worse
you should crouch
put your head between your knees, cover your head with your hands
it reduces the chances significantly of it hitting you

"Before Hiroshima"
It's "Hiroshima before USA blew it up with an atom bomb."
Here's the picture of Hiroshima after the atom bomb exploded.
Don't tell me it was justified to bomb innocent Japanese civilians for more then a year (June 1944 - August 1945) with air raids.
USA did not gave a **** about the civilians of Japan the Japanese government did not gave a **** about their civilians.
the Japanese government only surrendered to USA days after fat man made Nagasaki equal to the floor Japan wanted to keep the monarchy as the soviet union wanted to attack Japan and wanted to make it a communist country.
User avatar #48 to #45 - MrTurdTastic (08/09/2013) [-]
Because every nation totally wasn't bombing all opposing nation's civilians.

I often wondered what the worst moment in history was

Like, what was the absolute worst thing that every happened to a person, that one person ever did to another, what motive did they have? What steps were taken to have it happen or even attempted to be prevented? Was it a war? Was it a hundred, thousand, million men all fighting and dying together for a cause none of them truly believed in, killing people with their bare hands when their swords broke or guns ran out of ammo. Or was it just one single moment in time, between one man and another, one word spoken, one action taken, one thing to be forgotten in the sands of time

That one, final moment in history, where the first monster was born

I think this is the saddest of them all because you can just see the pure, unfiltered anguish on the striker's face.

and I can relate

The Rwandan genocide is perfect for showing the hypocrisy of the American government and other western powers.
An intervention there would have been a far more worthwile cause than any given invasion of the last 60 years that I can think of (a million Rwandans could have been saved - 300 times more people than died in 9/11), but no one gave two ***** because there was nothing in it for them.
Whenever I hear the US or UK etc. talk about invading a region to "help" the local people there I always think of Rwanda.
