tiger and lion tamers in the past have accepted considerable risk to take on that job and many have known to have been killed by their own well tamed animals...

and you think it's lazy that they didn't put a defenseless man near a tiger that that it isn't familiar with?

Plus the fact that they can get the tiger to "act" with CGI. You can't get a real tiger to do whatever the hell you want.

Because in that scene the tiger was nearly dead. I don't know if you saw the movie but do you really want them to get a twig of a tiger on the verge of death just so it doesn't have to be special effects?
