I actually enjoyed the endings in ME3. Hear me out.

I was always obsessed with paragon/renegade choices. I always thought, "Is this right? I know it's renegade, but is it the right thing to do?" So when these endings came along, I had to think about what was right, and what was wrong. None of these choices are renegade, nor are they paragon. They are their own choices.

Synthesis ends all wars and creates ever-lasting peace, but it's forced upon all of the universe.
Control keeps the Reapers away forever without destroying them, but we'll never realize why the war happened or why the Reapers came.
Destroy removes the Reaper threat and Shepard survives so he can educate everyone on why it happened, but it doesn't solve the problem and conflicts could arise again.

When I first played this game and got to the ending, I had to pause the game for 15-30 minutes, because I had to think through it. I thought the endings were pretty damn good. And, if you really want a different ending, you could just shoot the Catalyst and the Reapers could succeed.

All in all, this game was my favorite out of all the Mass Effects, and I enjoyed the endings. Thumb me down if you want, this is simply my opinion.

It's not because it's an open ending. It's because all of your choices in the entire trilogy meant nothing besides what color explosion you want to pick.

People have their own opinions, and here is mine: I rather enjoyed the Mass Effect series (as a whole). 1 was clunky, buggy, and felt like combat was forced into it rather than an actual part of the game, but the story was good.
2 felt a bit more refined, and kept to the epic story arc, with minor adjustments to tweak the combat towards being less of a chore.
I honestly really enjoyed 3, the combat was sleek and effective, and the story line was in depth and moving, though of course people bitched because they didn't like how it ended. I'd say get over it, not all movies or books end how you want them, but... you know what? Y'all still buy them and enjoy it.

TL/DR: I enjoyed the series, even watching Shepard die at the end. You don't have to like everything in life.

well for me what killed it was that most of my choices, meant nothing. also the day one DLC that was already on the damn disk. that was a piss off. but a bunch of other things were bs, for one you had such a limited amount of input during cut scenes. it felt more like you were watching it instead of playing it. not to mention even when I had dialog input, it always did stuff that my shepherd would never do, like she was she hitting on james and I was prretty much going "WTF"

Again, that's how you experienced it. My Shepard stayed pretty true to how I would handle situations, so I was fine with it. All of the choices meant something, just because they weren't waved around in your face in the closing credits doesn't mean they didn't matter. My FAVORITE piss-spewing argument from the naysayers is saying that the Geth and Quarian scenes meant nothing in the end. I'd argue the opposite: Depending on your choice (YOUR choice) at the end, you could doom or save all of the races in the Sol System. Hell, the Geth are walking supercomputers, with all the data they have ever collected available to each individual unit. I would say that the Geth (along with the other races that didn't suddenly go full retard at the end) were able to figure out a way to survive/get home. Check out some of the fanfic that expanded upon that.

yes, but in the end it is only fanfics. I'm still mad at bioware for also doing the biggest **** job EVER with talis face reveal. as in there wasn't one. it was the ******* last game with her and you don't even bother to show her face -_-

there was just too many things in it that felt rushed, or lazy

So your upset with the creators of the game leaving openings for your own inference into events so you can bring yourself closure, in a game all about YOUR choices and YOUR views on stuff. Okay.

Tali whined too much for me to pursue the first time through the Trilogy, but the face reveal was at least better than nothing, even if it was a shopped stock image. Could it have been better, yes.

BioWare gave a game that received overall excellent reviews (10/10 in many cases) and had a dedicated mp following, with an entire galaxy left open to the fans' imaginations and ability.

Naturally, some will be displeased with this, but then again... if the game sells, and it goes down as being one of the best of the year (INCLUDING THE ENDING) and the majority very much enjoy it, I would say it's a win for them.

yes, but everything in it was. well it never gave me a reason to replay it. I put over 300 hours in the first. and 100 hours in the second. the third. I just beat it once and that was it. there were a lot of other problems with it, dialog only has two options, and there wasn't ever a middle ground like in the other 2. I could make you a list if you want

Just sounds like one of the folks I detailed above, you can make your list if you want, at the same time... it doesn't change that the game blew the other two out of the water in the end. Like I've said several times, some are upset and disliked it, those same people still carry on about it, so they can move on or stay stuck in the trench.
