I seriously ******* hate art so god damn much. And before you idiots start saying **** like HERP DERP VIDEO GAMES ARE ART! TV IS ART! MOVIES ARE ART! Just shut the **** up. I mean museum ****. **** specifically made to go in a museum or hang up on a wall. Sculptures, paintings, and **** like that. If you are going to school to become an artist then you're just a complete ******* idiot. You will never make it in the real world. There's a reason for the term starving artist. There are millions of other people out there who are just as good if not better than you. Millions. What do you call an art graduate? Unemployed.

It's a useless skill to have... I wouldn't want to be good at something as useless as art.

Because EVERYONE good at art is unemployed. No useful skill out of it my ass. There are tons of artists that make good money.

Art graduates have the 2nd highest unemployment rate. The first highest is architecture. Keep art as a hobby, that's fine. Paints your stupid pictures during your free time. Don't make it your career though because you wont.

Okay, so you're not an artist. Let's say, for argument's sake, you're into computer science. There are plenty of people just as technically gifted as you, and many more who are better. That doesn't mean you won't find work. There isn't just room for ONE computer scientist in the world. Same for art.
Oh, and in order to be considered unemployed, you have to be actively looking for but not finding work. If you want to be an artist, chances are you're not looking for another job. So your joke is dumb.

does being able to use the copy and paste function make him "into computer science"?

Not enough. It's not worth the risk. They will never become a famous artist like so many art students strive to be. Very few want to be a 4th grade art teacher...

I think it's clear enough at this point that art probably won't make you rich. So it kinda stands to reason that the people who are studying it really love it, and are willing to use their talents to any possible professional capacity.
Either way, who are you to belittle them for practicing something that they love? I'm going to guess that, since you're on Funnyjunk, you're a nerd about something. I'm sure you understand what it's like to be ridiculed for loving something. Why go around and do the same thing to others that judgmental assholes might do to you?

They belittle themselves for wasting their time learning a useless skill. What I love I don't make my career out of. I'm getting a useful general degree. Those people deserve to be judged.

although this is partially true. for the love of god get the pole out of your ass and let people do what they want, no matter how destructive it may prove to be for their lives. if they love doing what they do and they manage to make ends meet, more power to them.
