Even though "90's kid" is a very loose term, I think that it's more appropriate to refer to people who were born in the mid to late 80's, since they would experience all of the 90s, even up until around the age of 13, which I think is when proper childhood ends.
I was born in 93, so a lot of my "90s" memories are actually just early 2000s.

I was born in 93 as well but all I remember about the early 2000's is everything I loved and cherished either being tarnished or taken away all together, maybe it's just me but the reason we cling to the term "90's kid" and subsequently things that occurred during the 90's is because that's the last time we remember anything good happening. My earliest memory of the 2000's is the attack on 9/11 (not that I really cared about the building being hit or the people dieing but it was all that was on T.V. and it rather annoyed me), from there I watched my country go to war get itself into terrible financial trouble, watched as time and time again it's policies and its people made a complete and utter mockery of everything it stood for. Everyone is annoyed by this because the 90's kids thing has been overplayed but the reason it all started was because people would rather remember angry beavers than the Busch itemsistration.
