it's pretty ******* sad that ancient greece over 3000 years ago probably had a better democracy than america today

Probably because the United States isn't a democracy.

So if the government is doing something wrong or illegal all they have to do is classify it as "top secret" and anyone who exposes the truth is a bigger scumbag than they are. Nice logic!

He knew he was going to go down for what he did. What he did was morally right but legally wrong, he's lucky to be alive actually.

The documents leaked put no Americans in danger. He did however leak information deemed Secret or Top Secret. I was in the US Navy for 6 years and just about everything you have access to is deemed Secret or Top Secret. So, in all honesty nobody is hurt by the information leaked except maybe for the egos of a few generals and members of the my filthy item daddyistration. Manning knew what he was doing and it is a crime in the eyes of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, so he's going to have to face the music.

Bradley Manning is a transsexual 'activist' that leaked 100,000s of classified military secrets to WikiLeaks by abusing his privileged access that his Military Intelligence job afforded him. I believe that some people call this 'espionage,' but I guess it's called 'Whistleblowing' now.

That was one video that was going to be declassified anyways. But instead, he decides to leak more than just that. Classified documents that put allied troops in peril. Documents that our enemies have studied and contained (Osama Bin Laden for example).

He's more of a traitor than a whistleblower.

As a liberal(not a democrat) I'm a little disappointed in Obama's second term. I mean the first one, no matter how many things he did wrong, his supporters could point to healthcare. This term seems like only **** ups- Manning, Snowden, the NSA, Benghazi, Trayvon(and his need to comment on it). Unfortunately I voted for him, but the democrats(and republicans) are in for a rude awakening next election. If they're not going to respect me I'll vote for a third party even if I know they can't win. Pic related, hopefully our next president

It was named after Amerigo Vespucci, a merchant from Italy that made a detailed account of the Americas and was one of the first to realize it as completely different continents that are nowhere near Asia.
