The reason I can't believe in God and Creationism is because of people like this
<---

If God created us with beuty and intelligience, how do stupid people like her walk around (obviously not now but you know what I mean), people like her display primitive, limited cognitive abilities, that can only be described as being shared with our primate ancestors.

On a side note, neither am I an Atheist. How many wars have been started through religion? Three Crusades, Muslim A against Muslim B war, Extreme Diehard Christian Adolf. Atheism has become as much of a Religon as the Religions they mock, and I believe it is Atheism's turn to start a war, and due to the advancement of Technology and worldwide connectivity, this has resulted in this "Internet War", which I imagine will eventually leak into the real world. Christianity (Using Christianity as example because that's where most of Atheist hate seems to lie) are liars, they talk peace, love and understanding, yet act with violence, hate and discrimination, e.g. Honour thy Neighbour as you would honour thyself, unless he's a phanact, then kill the Homo. Atheism is riddled with hypocrasy, 'I don't like how you try to force your beliefs down my throat, so instead I'M going to force MY beliefs down YOUR throat'.

This is why I have chosen Buddhism, they pretty laidback about everything...

Atheists - 0

I think you should also bear in mind that religion usually isn't the direct source of conflicts. Sometimes religious conflicts hasn't actually been caused by religion itself, sometimes it has been used by greedy men as a tool to justify an act as to gain more power. Just saying...

Very true, my good sir... But whether it be the cause or tool of war, these conflicting religions are going to cause something terrible, I can feel it in my nuggets, and... well it saddens me...

As well as any other type of war. But yes, I get the main points your trying to make and it is bothersome when the war doesn't really serve any point.

Where in my comment did I mention her suicide? Her death itself wasn't what bugged me, it was her reasoning behind it, she threw away her life on something rather petty. Granted we can't all be as strong as the glorious anons sat behind their computer desks hurling abuse at each other, but she really had no reason to do what she did, in the end she had caused more pain to her family that what was ever inflicted on her.

I was using it as an example dude, simmer down okay?

Science argues we are made from remnants of stars, the bible says dust. The bible literally is trying to tell readers we are made from star dust. Goddamn.

I want to ask you all a question. If tomorrow we discovered that inside each and every one of us, there was a tiny person controlling us, or that everything was made out of tiny sharks, or that there actually was a god, or that the big bang actually wasn't that big of a deal and the only thing it did was spread cheese to the already there universe... WHAT THE **** DIFFERENCE WOULD IT MAKE. It doesn't change anything. you dont suddenly become a different person, the universe doesn't suddenly become difference. you just realize that you are a massive prick and that all of your arguments were entirely pointless. now shut the **** up and go out side. (I'm not going to, i just want to sit and laugh as you break your brittle bones and your vampyric skin burns from the heat of the sun)

I think it's kind of comical to think about this certain subject.

I personally believe that everyone who reads the bible takes it too literal.

the bible, in my opinion, was meant to be interpreted by the person reading it, not a mass of people to decide what it means.

Of course this whole post is wasted on children who have never read the bible, but judge it with such a hateful conviction.
#211 to #198 - VincentKing ONLINE (08/02/2013) [-]
Firstly, you must be religious for the bible to apply, and you're not. And secondly, the bible is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules. Welcome to the world.

Well of course, anyone can be a good human being despite what religion they belong to or what they believe in, and I wish more people act like good human beings. However, in my case, I'm simply unaffiliated.
User avatar #191 to #187 - yuukoku (08/02/2013) [-]
That's cool, too. If you don't like being tied down, at least acknowledge religion.
I think it's good to belong sometimes, though. It's helped me in some situations.
User avatar #195 to #191 - CupcakeMaster (08/02/2013) [-]
It never hurts to immerse yourself in culture. Treat everything equally, and respect everything, that goes for religion as well.
User avatar #199 to #195 - yuukoku (08/02/2013) [-]
Of course! Religion is a paramount part of culture and if you can't accept a religion, how could you at all begin to accept a culture.
Aside from that, it's taught from Jesus, Confucius, etc. that you should treat others how you'd like to be treated.
#180 to #174 - trashmaggots (08/02/2013) [-]
Yes. That would make you an AGNOSTIC (In my mind the most preferred of all religious formats).

Sadly Atheism is plagued with outright non-belief of any creator...
This thought process is reflected on almost anybody and everybody who doesn't fall under a religious doctrine.

As if to say: "Have you no Religion to proclaim? Well then you must have no faith in God"

When this is furthest from the truth.
#197 to #180 - hankiepankie (08/02/2013) [-]
Agnosticism is when one is unsure or undecided as to whether there is a god or not. He/she claims he/she does believe in god. He/she's just a theist with no affiliation.
#202 to #197 - trashmaggots (08/02/2013) [-]
Atheism proudly states it's premise and the Church proudly states it's premise.
For that reason alone I am not going to listen to you try and blindside a "good soul".
Everybody has every right to believe what they want. But due to the church, many have been forced to make a stand about their thoughts on God...

Every single living animal is God, Every single weed, bush, and tree is God. Every moment that water makes it's entry into the life that it serves, is GOD. Every moment that you breath is God.

Sadly God has a duty to fill. A Duty we know nothing of. God has to maintain a balance. And his meter of "what should be balanced" is not for us to know.

Should it all end tomorrow..
never forget how incredible "today" was.
#204 to #202 - hankiepankie (08/02/2013) [-]
Don't know what the hell you're talking about, but I call all of those things nature--you can call them whatever you want, it has nothing to do with my comment.

right keep telling your self that jimmy maybe one day some one will actually give **** about you. until such a day comes maybe you can try being less abrasive. see people don't like it when you're deliberately mean to them, I have done nothing wrong to you to warrant such behavior I merely pointed out in my original comment #170 that your captioned picture answers itself with your title you chose to put in all caps (which is yelling btw) "NO **** ?". my beliefs are irrelevant but yes I do have some sort of faith it brings me joy to believe that when I die ill go to heaven and see all my loved ones. what I don't understand is how the anti religious live with themselves, they attack religious people and try to take away the aforementioned joy that religion brings to said people. I am fine with the fact atheists don't believe in anything it makes no difference to me what your beliefs are. also why do you hold the Christians of modern time accountable for the past? I personally had nothing to do with the past ergo the crusades and the repression of knowledge and the witch trials so I don't see why I should be held accountable that the people in the past were Christians and did these things when I personally didn't. I don't condone the things that happened and that should be enough. that's like saying all Germans are Nazi's its a level of ignorance that is staggering for this time period.
#190 to #182 - trashmaggots (08/02/2013) [-]
Have you any sense? According to you, you're gonna die and go to "heaven" where your Grandpa is Right? Well, what about your grandpa's grandpa? and that guys Grandpa, add infinity until you're hanging out with your monkey ancestors!
I'm not anti-God, I am simply anti-religious. Religion makes me sick, as I witness my own fellow brotherhood fall for a scam that I can not unveil from their eyes... YOURS INCLUDED. Religion is nothing more than a brain washing. Where as self connections with thy self (God) require no tittles. I believe in a higher power who has made itself "self evident" to me, and I see it's power and existence everywhere I look.
