There are 2 reasons that Marijuana was illegal.
1: In 1930 a man named Harry J. Anslinger made marijuana illegal by saying that it made white women want to sleep with blacks.
2: Big lumber corporations saw that hemp could be used as a cheaper source to manufacture paper and ran a smear campaign against the plant.

US government recently did a study to try to prove marijuana as useless for medical purposes. They found evidence of the opposite.

You're seriously gonna trust the U.S. Government? Hell they had their own medical marijuana program. There are a couple people still on it and the government send this dude like 300 joints a month, just look up Irvin Rosenfeld.
