Feels aside, who else played the original Total war: Rome? Which Roman family was your favourite to play as?

Yeah, but they start so far away in the corner...

...so?
as long as they start somewhere, they have the ability to own everything

Yeah, but holding settlements is rather hard...

Julii for sure, I like the colors the most, makes everything feel... more authentic.

I just wish I had a good pc. I'm now playing the original total war on a laptop, but it's still prone to almost overheating.

Still have it, absolutely love/d it. Had some freaking epic battles online.
I prefer playing as one of the other factions though, Like the Selucids or Macedon

Hell yeah, check this screen shot out of my biggest battle ever. I don't know of any other RTS game that lets 18,000 individual troops to fight on a single battlefield. The sheer scale of these games is jaw dropping, it makes other RTS games look like candy crush. Rome 2 may be the only reason I won't get Battlefield 4 as my next game purchase.

What kind of troops do you prefer? Light/heavy infantry, skirmishers/archers or light/heavy cavalry. For me is nearly only heavy infantry with a few archers and a few light infantry just perfect.

I tended to go for a mix of light/heavy infantry, cavalry units and archers/peltasts depending on where I was in the game. Made for a nice balance and covered all bases

I always stocked up on as many cretan archers as I could too, those ************* were awesome

Good lord Cretan archers had range!

Hell yeah man, and then they'd get some nice experience too... Oh God!
