Leave it in, get yelled at because it's not OC.

Leave it out, get yelled at because it's not there.

You can't win.

We should repost some OC from Funnyjunk, cut their watermark off, and use our own.
The repost will get shorter and shorter until.... Finally..... It happens to be nothing left.

Pic related, I cut off the watermarks.

If you leave it out you still "get yelled at" because it's not OC. If you remove it and don't give credit, you double your fá¾³ggotry.

Not if it's one of those phanact websites that put their watermark on everything.

No, because we know it's not OC, no one would moan at you about it not being OC because of a watermark, they'd do it because they've seen it before.

You leave the watermark on if it isn't yours.

Why can't you just give credit to the creator using the description?

Very few people are nitpicky enough on FJ to bitch with any kind of voice if the content isn't OC. Not all of my content is OC.

But I always give credit. You can't just take away someone's claim to the art they made and claim it as your own. Not only is that stealing, it's just morally wrong.

Not bitching. Just watching out for the artists out there.

Yes you can - by making good OC. Shocking, really.

But seriously, it's not like we even expect OC. I certainly don't. But being dishonest is far worse than the fact that it's not OC. I personally care more about the lulz of the content rather than the person contributing it. But you should always give credit where it's due. At least in the description. If you don't know the source, then it's fine. If you do, have the common decency of putting the artist's name on the content or the description. Removing it is a major dick move.

If you credit the person what does anyone have to bitch at?

Have you not seen all the comments of people raging about every single post that didn't originate from funnyjunk?

i literally spent 10 minutes looking for the author to something for someone, i got pissed because everywhere i looked there wasn't a watermark. finally found the original author, hadn't even watermarked it.

TL;DR i like the watermark
