no, if it was generic, it'd be average. Literal means exactly according to the words.

LITERAL. Like LITERARY. According to the LITERAL definition.
GENERIC. Like GENERAL, or REGULAR.

Literly his BIRTHDAY means it should be black and white?
Literal means: "Taking words in their usual or most basic sense without metaphor or allegory: "dreadful in its literal sense, full of dread".
Literal BIRTHDAY = the day when he was born
thus day of birth, birth day get it?
If I said "Literally, the dog is as big as a house" That would mean that the dog is big as a house. (Though people misuse it a lot)

The birthday is not only the day of birth on the day of that year that you were born, but also for each consecutive year after that. Therefore, in this birthday of his, everything was taken literally. thus the literal "banner", and the literal "cake".

You can't have a "Literal banner" or a "Literal Cake" it doesn't work like that. I'm not even gonna bother arguing anymore since you're obviously a bigot who doesn't know what he's talking about. If you want to learn how to correctly use the word "Literally" I suggest you google it instead of pointlessly arguing about it. Have a good day.

btw, I didn't point this out because it was just so stupid, but when i said, according to the words, you said, and i quote; "Literly his BIRTHDAY means it should be black and white?" So, if something is ACCORDING to the definition, it immediately becomes black and white? I can't get over how someone of your level of ignorance is calling me stupid.
