NEVER use your 3DS as a coaster!

You have a PS Vita for that.

Some of us play Mens games.

Now hold on guys, I can understand what he means here. Sometimes I want to put down my 3DS (with a collection of games I both enjoy from childhood and to this day) and play some manly games. Its nice to just sit down and kill some giant monsters or something... yeah. Sometimes I like to give up nNntendo for a while to go play some Monster Hunte........... oh wait... They own that too. So thats every reason for me to ever buy a Vita down the ******* drain.

+More powerful hardware and graphics (by far, just compare the specs.) Once game developers become more acquainted we can expect to see more games similar to PS3 quality.
+Great games Uncharted, LBP, Wipeout, MvC Ultimate, Unit 13, Silent Hill BOM, Persona 4 Golden, Mortal Combat, Need for Speed, Fifa and other sport games, Gravity Rush, Resistance BS, Black Ops, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation, Lumines, Ragnarok ect. Plus upcoming titles like Soul Sacrifice (which will wipe out anything the 3DS has to offer, maybe not Monster Hunter but it will at least match it, Tearaway, and Killzone Mercenary. Some of these are cross platforming also!

+PSP games which has MANY great RPG's, PS1 Classics, Minis, Playstation Mobile games, POSSIBLY PS2 games in the future and we're going to see a lot of great indie games coming our way (like Lone Survivor).

+Playstation Network is far better than Nintendo network, both Playstation +, socializing (Party chat, Near, built in voice chat in games, ect.) and online gaming. Because of this the Vita feels more and more like a console experience with the new games coming out. Think about voice chatting with your friends in online games and how epic it will be with games like Soul Sacrifice and Killzone Merc. A co op game like monster hunter but ONLINE and with COMMUNICATION.

+The apps. Netflix, Skype, Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Music, a better internet browser, playstation movie rentals, Minis and Playstation mobile. It's almost like having a Smartphone, multimedia device and console-like gaming device in one! Especially if you have 3G on your Vita and we can expect to see more Minis and Apps in the future

+People say it's too expensive but we can expect to see a price drop soon so it won't be that much more than a 3DS

+More customization. Wallpapers, icons, skins to make it feel like YOUR Vita.

Power does not make a man great. Creativity, kindness, and wisdom make a man great. I'm not saying I hate sony, Its silly to hate one specific group, everything has its ups and downs. I understand the Vita's specs are impressive to say the least. What I am saying is, at the end of the day, whether I was playing Skyrim, Halo, Black Ops, God of War, Fallout, Bioshock, any of these. At the end of the say, I still come back to Mario Sunshine and Ocarina of Time to have the best time. I enjoy powerful systems yes, spoiler] also, just gonna bring this up, if I want power, I'll build my own PC, PC gamer master race [/spoiler] But I've always enjoyed what you call "kids games" as well. And heres some food for thought, the most iconic sony characters are Crash, Spyro, Jak and Daxter, and Ratchet and Clank, all of whom were in what you classify as "kids games". Sonys great, Microsoft... well... they once were when it comes to gaming, in a time when the One didn't exist. But Nintendo has never disappointed me the way these others have, and whenever I hear that little Mario tune, I smile and know I'm going to be having a good time. The Vita has the best specs of any handheld, and yet, I enjoy the 3DS more, along with many others, and do you know why that is? Creativity and consistency.

Im a PC gamer and I find myself getting bored of Mario and Pokemon easily.

Sure creativity and consistency.

Lets remake every Mario and Pokemon again and again because people that
get nostalgic over the theme music will buy it.

I'm cool if you prefer a DS for this but you'll be damn sure I won't agree 3DS is better.

Please tell me how Vita lacks games again.

Especially when DS users only play Mario and Pokemon.

mario, pokemon, puzzle games and general crap.

I would rather be able to browse the internet efficiently and play mens game with out awful graphics and eye sores from the irritating 3D.

Better than playing ****** ports and god-awful spin offs with graphics that we saw 7 years ago.

7 years ago haha. Then 3DS must be what we saw 18 years a go as well as giving us eye sores from the 3D.

And Id rather play a port of a good game than Mario Kart 38 and Pokemon Rainbow platinum.

Cross off games that aren't released in your region, games that are digital only, and games that are either rereleases or ports, and you are left with a handful.

Cross off games that are not worth buying a system over, and you're left with nothing. I've worked at a GameStop for a little over a year. Know how many Vita's I've sold? Zero. Know how many vita games I've sold? Two. I've sold dozens of 3DSs and hundreds of games, because people know that 3DS games are actually worthwhile. Vita isn't bad as a system, but it does not have any software that is worth buying one over. And yes, I have played the "popular" games for it.

As for "3DS users only play Mario and Pokemon", you are delusional. 3DS third party support is crazy good right now. Monster Hunter, Shin Megami, Professor Layton, Scribblenauts, Resident Evil Revelations, and Castlevania all sell about as well as a lot of the nintendo games on 3DS. Plus, they all do well both commercially and critically, which can't be said for nearly any Vita games. And besides that, there are only a few Mario games on 3DS, and its made its huge successes even without a single pokemon game. The really popular and hard to get nintendo games aren't in either of those franchises though. Stuff like Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion, Kid Icarus, Fire Emblem, and Donkey Kong are the real top sellers at our store.

Based on sales, reviews, public opinion, and exclusive titles, 3DS is exponentially better off than the vita, and that's all before Pokemon X & Y come along and put the real nail in Vita's coffin.

Idiotic. A handful really?

If you sales and reviews mattered then I guess the Wii truly is the best console this generation considering everyone bought one. But everyone sold it or stopped playing it too.

I will play the PS Vita and enjoy it. I have no problem with you liking the DS more but thinking it walks all over the Vita is dumber than David Cameron.

In what aspect does the 3DS not walk all over the vita? Sales? Public opinion? Consumer reviews? Critic Reviews? Software Sales? Software quantity? Software reception?

In every quantifiable manner, it is outperforming the vita by a very wide margin. Feel free to continue liking the vita more. I have some unpopular opinions too, but I understand why people disagree with me, and will concede when I seem to be one of the only proponents of something.

Because Nintendo out performing every other console in those aspects is new?

Vita is the PS3 to what the 3DS is too the Wii.

And the PS3 was the most unpopular too out of the 3.

Yet it will be a cold day in hell when I buy a Wii over a PS3 or a 3DS over a Vita.

That is a terrible annalogy. PS3 is the most unpopular? Then why has it sold significantly more than the 360? And why is it projected to outsell the Wii within the next two years? The PS3 had a rocky start, but it bounced back incredibly hard and is considered by many, if not most to have won the generation of consoles.

And on top of sales, it had an incredible line up of exclusive titles that rivaled nintendo and blasted microsoft out of the water. I mean, two of the most often considered titles when thinking of the game of the decade are PS3 exclusives.

Actually its a great analogy.

The Vita may start off rocky but if people realize its potential its gonna be great.
