Sounds like fun. I'm pursuing a masters degree in electrical engineering. Not big mains power but small circuit type stuff, design that. I'm a freshman in college though. I'm just on my second semester that will be over this 8th of next month.
And meant to put your degree, not ours.

I guessed the typo.

I didn't like small voltage stuff, drifted into high voltage things ASAP, finished the bachelors and did this MSc in Power Engineering to finish off. Enjoying it so far? Tons of folk dropped out after their first year when I did it!

That high amperage **** can get dangerous. My dad was putting in a breaker box and grabbed a 440v. His hair burned off his body, but he's alive. I did an ohm test on him and he's like 1.5mill. My sisters ohms just keeps rising she went above 3 mill and it just kept going, so I have no idea what to call that. Other than lighting won't **** with her. But I don't always build low voltage stuff. I might build a plasma speaker, using high voltage of 200kv+ and it makes sound, pretty neat. But ever as far back as I can remember I have torn stuff apart learning how it ticks. I bought books around 10 and studied it. By the time I was 15 I could make lots of stuff, I had all the parts down, math formulas, learning logic devices ( I'm sure you've heard of these somewhere in your learning.) But at the age of 15 I could build almost anything I wanted,I even made a couple robots, buggy ass ones, but still. So That being said, It is my destiny to do this. It is an awesome trait to have. So, I assume you do power management for factory's or something of the sort? College is pretty fun to, not what I was told past schools.

Employment doesn't start until September for me: I'll be working for the local transmission system operator, working the electricity grid and all that up to 400kV.

Geez, I'd hate to know the amperage there. It might blow arms off. I always tell people to think as the amount of electrons there is, now convert those to saws, that is why you don't want to grab high amperage stuff, it will cut your arms off. Good luck on your endeavors and don't grab no wires.
