I love how all the Americans (assuming American- cause no self respecting Canadian would cry about how Canada was still a British colony) on here are all butt-hurt by your comment. Following their "logic", people from India, and Hong Kong use to be Brits when those places were British colonies. Durr...

Plus it's kinda silly saying that, "It was a British colony, so it was the British" when Canada had people from all over Europe settle in it. It's good to know that all the Welsh, Scottish, Irish, French, and Scandinavian, people who came to this country, and made it what it is today, were all considered British.

The war was waged by USA and Britain seeing as Canada was a British colony all Canadians then could be classified in a subcategory of Brit's, either way a treaty was signed in Belgium neither side won

Don't forget that like half of that force died because they were too retarded to not burn down a foe buildings to stay in in case of a hurricane.

Technically yes, it was Britain, but many "Canadians" were involved in the burning of the building. Canada was merely a province under the British name so any Canadian was technically a Brit. . . .

The US declared war on Canada, and got their whitehouse burned down in response. Same difference.
