In 1939, Germany went to war with Poland. Germany had tanks, which were driven into Poland. I'm sure one of these tanks made it to Warsaw, perhaps.

yeah, but the intention of the ad was to show how good the fueleconomy is, you can drive ~600km with one tank

Volkswagen = German. (it's a nazi joke)

The nazis used a tanks and well just invaded there, but used up lots of gas.

the ad is saying "Berlin to Warsaw in ONE tank.", where as usual, people say On one tank.



TL;DR? it isn't a gas guzzler and is nazi joke.
