I recently finished Fellowship of the Ring.
I wanted to watch the movie first but I decided to get into reading, so my first thought was "why not read Lord of the Rings?"

And so I did
I'm a slow ass reader with barely any skill in reading books so this took me a pretty long time to finish.
It ended up being one of the most enchanting books I've ever read, and has actually helped my literacy.

I was so excited for the movie, it was great but it missed out on so many scenes that kind-of bind the story together and help further explain certain parts.
Also some other things that bothered me:
-I wasn't that comfortable with Aragorn's voice, through out the book I expected him to have a more masculine voice (kind of like how they made Boromir's)
-Sam's voice, I liked him so much in the book, yet his voice just... it just kind of ruined it for me
- Boromir's death, I'm guessing they jumped to a scene in the second book since I didn't find that in the first one. This really pissed me off since he was one of my favorite characters

I hate how they made frodo so pathetic in the movie, he doesnt really do anything brave, and in the major battles he just ends up getting stabbed. I really wanted him to at least attack some orcs or stuff, rather than constanlty being a burden.

I wish Tom Bombadil was in the movie
