How is that cheating? That's the point. To get people to vote for you. There were no set rules on how to accomplish that, and in fact he did nothing, but people noticed.

The "people" at /b/ used bots to vote for him. In my book that's cheating.

July 19, 2013 was a date to remember for the one's shunned from the elite, the beautiful, the mold-able. Charles Z., has defied the odds of the status quo by entering in a contest by which the winner has the privilege to be graced by the presence of a country-pop superstar known as Taylor Swift. A friend of Charles helped him out with the contest by using a few of his resources and found himself posting on
an image-board he thought would aid Charles with the contest. A few of the image boards caught wind of this, and started voting away, to the best of their manual ability. As Charles moves up in the contest, other websites catch wind of this as well, and immediately began voting for Charles. Soon he led the contest on the glorious throne of first place. While leading the contest, a few media outlets observed, and carelessly wrote inaccurate articles calling him a "fat, old creep", and claimed this image-board website allegedly, "wrote a script that automates the voting process using 500
different computers from around the world." This is certainly not true, and will remain untrue until proven otherwise. With this being said, the Kiss 108 website that holds the contest soon states, "Disappointingly, we have determined that the integrity of the "Taylor Swift's Biggest Fan" contest has been compromised. In accordance with our contest rules, effective immediately, the contest has been terminated.
We apologize to all of our loyal listeners who have participated." This contest specifies that the age minimum is 13, but the maximum was never stated, nor was this contest defined around gender, weight, height, and overall appearance. The integrity of this contest has not been compromised, for the fact that they are basing their concern off of misleading rumors, and lacking evidence. This situation
pertains nothing to the integrity of the contest, but the integrity of the contest holders themselves.

This man has never been charged with sexual harassment, domestic violence, or any charge relating to prevention and danger, so there should not be any reason for Charles to be unfit for the contest. To the people who have aided Charles in his potential success in this contest, this is unjust, and unforgivable. Any
retribution resulting from this incident will be no one's fault but Kiss 108, and their lack of integrity and honesty. As for Charles, he is just another member of the shunned, and forgotten. With no hope, but the sole effort of his supporters, and the one's who refuse to turn a blind eye to the foolishness executed in these past two weeks. Regarding Taylor Swift, this woman is a representative of figures that are against bullying, and acts of discrimination; so for her to let this competition terminate because of evidence-lacking rumors, it contradicts herself, and everything thing she
stands for. The events that portrayed in the contest showed acts of favoritism, and discrimination. Charles is looked at as the enemy towards the other contestants, but is really the hero in all of this, because of how well he carries himself through out the highs and the lows of this unjust event. Charles stands for achieving despite the odds, and
this stance runs deeper than a teeny-bopper thirsting for a superficial Instagram photo, and perhaps an increase in followers.
