Jews believe that Jesus was a real person.
Just not the son of God

Jesus was documented, so there is proof that he actually existed. But obviously, what he spouted (son of god etc) was debatable. (forgot to login)

Actually the historical evidence for Jesus is a bit unreliable - both Tacitus and Josephus were more reporting on what Jesus' followers believed and used second hand reports of his existence... I think... I have a vague memory of this from studying it in 1st year of college...

If you go by actual christian teachings we're all sons and daughters of god, which just makes the point moot in the ******* first place.

Actually if you read the bible we are all sons of Adam and Eve, and in a roundabout way we are all called the children of god. What made Christ significant was the fact that he was a direct descendant of God's. God made whoopie with some virgin and that chick had Jesus(and good ol' Joe was suspiciously cool with all of this).

I generalized, but once again I don't take stock in books.. or maybe I should start, I know curious george is curious because it says so in a book.

Look, I'm an agnostic. I take all scripture in all forms with a grain of salt; but the scripture, as I understand, is there as a teaching device. A pool to pull from to guide people.

I'm in no way spiritual, but I can appreciate religion and what it does for people.

inb4 hurr durr religion is evil (there have been billions of people who have faithfully followed religions and used religion for good. Probably more than the asshole who have used it for bad)
