One small correction to OP's post would be the thing on Egyptian pyramid builders. They indeed were laborers and not slaves. They weren't however payed, instead they were promised passage to the afterlife. Other than that, another great post OP!

Also, I'm pretty sure there was some slave labor somewhere down the line. Maybe making the blocks or something...

I think slave labor came later, like when they stopped making pyramids and began making tombs. Not entirely sure as I haven't studied Egyptian history in like 6 years.
