The only thing I'm good at in GTA is sex. And I suck at everything else. Kinda sad when the only thing I'm good at is fake sex with a computer AI.

Thats why I still have GTA:SA saved onto my desktop.

I still play it. Along with Morrowind. 2 of the best games ever.
User avatar #169 to #161 - bonjangles (07/18/2013) [-]
I second that.

Morrowind. That game is just amazing.

I played that game for 2 years when I was little, didn't make any story progress but sure as hell stole a lot of gold armor.

Pure Nostalgia.

Haha! My Morrowind used to always crash on me, so I had to always redo the first mission.

No need for that, it's already confirmed to be released for pc, maybe not at the same time as for consoles but it's coming. I have no source i just remember reading about it somewhere.

I think it'll be pretty cool if you start off in Liberty City at the start of GTA V and you have to somewhat say goodbye to it.

Can someone please inform me on this?
But is GTA V going to take place in the same area as SA?
Like, will a section of the map be the exact same to the map in GTA SA?

Not exactly. It's going to be Los Santos and the surrounding area, excluding San Fierro and Las Venturas. Rockstar has actually released the look of the full map already. I'm just hoping Grove Street is still there.
User avatar #156 to #148 - ludislavonac (07/18/2013) [-]
Apparently the Grove will be there, however you won't see any of the OGs there

From what I gather it's basically going to be the same as what they did with GTA 3 and IV. The same basic idea, i.e. that 3 and IV are based off New York and contain some of the same landmarks and structures, but IV is revamped in such a way that makes it new and interesting/generally updated.

could be cool if franklin is Cj's son. and grown up Cj would apear in cetain missions

I've never actually beaten San Andreas, just because it's too damn fun to **** around on. For that matter, I've never beaten any GTA... San Andreas has probably been the closest though.

ive never beaten san andreas i had it on ps2 and 1 mission kept crashing my game even b4 i found out cheats for the game (so it wasnt because of cheats) eventually i just added all the cheats so everybody would hunt me down and then try to survive aslong as i could
#138 to #135 - fortecress (07/18/2013) [-]
Big Smoke and Ryder betrayed you because they been corrupted by C.R.A.S.H. to kill CJ's mom and you kill both of them, you kill Smoke in the last mission.

I've never beaten GTA:San Andreas because my swimming ability wasn't high enough to do a mission to do a mission for that blind Asian guy, and I never had the patience for swimming in that game.

Imo, Liberty City is the most monotone, boring map I've played. Just the same city with almost no variation, no nature. Pretty closed world if you compare it to San Andreas. And don't get me started on all the fun **** they could have had by not putting a fence here and there.

I never saw why everybody worshipped GTA IV like they did, but hopefully GTA V will make people understand just how boring Liberty City were.
User avatar #122 to #114 - TheHutchie (07/18/2013) [-]
Just dropping in to defend GTA IV.

Let me start by saying that, I agree a significant portion of what you have said. Liberty City was pretty grey, and didn't vary too much, and they forgot to add cheats. It definitely could have been more fun. But I'm going to break away from that right now.

You see, I believe that part of the reason it was a little more boring was because Rockstar decided to go for a more realistic approach. The new physics engine was brilliantly good; GTA IV has some of the best ragdolling I've ever seen in a game. And because they grounded their creation in a newfound realism, wonderful, wonderful things happened to the narrative and storyline. I felt a lot more emotion and drive than in any previous GTA game, because it was more immersive.

However, Rockstar couldn't make it fun without sacrificing this, because they simply had never done it before on this scale. They needed practice.

TL;DR - There's a good reason GTA IV was less fun than it could've been, and it's a worthwhile one.

Thanks, and I hope you consider all that I've said.
User avatar #159 to #122 - ludislavonac (07/18/2013) [-]
I didn't like GTA IV simply because it had a pretty dark atmosphere and it was way too serious for my taste. The story and everything else in Liberty City gave a good satirical view of todays american society, but Vice City and San Andreas were full of humor and way more "goofy", and that was something that was missing in IV imo.
User avatar #144 to #122 - dedaluminus (07/18/2013) [-]
Forgot to add cheats? There were tons of cheats in IV. You activated them by calling numbers on the phone.

aalexwtf got the nail right on the head. I used cheats in GTA IV all the time, but they weren't very good compared to in previous games. My bad for not being 100% literal.

I think he meant that the cheats were not as many nor funny as in San Andreas.
Cheats like flying cars or people going mad with guns and **** , i just miss that in the GTA IV
