Wormtail gets put into gryfinndor and Snape gets put into Slytherin. Snape turns out to be the bravest ************ in the entire series, and Wormtail sells out his best friends, murders twelve innocent people, and helps the most dangerous dark wizard of all time return to power just to save his own worthless skin. The sorting hat needs to get its **** together.

Slytherin doesn't automatically mean evil. Nor does Gryffindor mean good. Slytherin is known for its student's abilities of cunning, resourcefulness and ambition. Gryffindor is courage, chivalry and determination. Snape was cunning and resourceful obviously. Wormtail was.. determined to stay alive.. I guess..

Nope, Slytherin is just for purebloods.

Snape and Voldemort were both Half-bloods.

****, I was thinking of when the school first started. Slytherin only accepted purebloods. I forgot that that changed.

I hate to agree with someone on the internet, but you're right.

the sorting hat takes your request into consideration too so it might be that wormtail has met james and the others before school and he requested to be on greffindore

and btw slytherin and griffindore are very similar in traits for example both are brave i need to read a bit of the wikia if i want to make more remarks on those houses but alas i am too lazy

Lily was put into griffindor before Snape, there's no way he would've asked to be in Slytherin.

no your theory is correct, it's not a theory though, it's said in both the movies and the books. The sorting hat takes your opinion into consideration, that does not mean that it will choose your opinion .

It doesn't actually say that in the books, but the kids are called up to be sorted in alphabetical order, and Evans comes before Snape.
