Does everyone on Tumblr just have these weird fun parents/teachers/students/friends that always do this cool and funny stuff? Or is it just that I dont know any people like that?

Its jus that only peoplewith fun parents teachers etc post theirstories, thus creating an illusion that everyone have fun parents etc when the majority doesnt and doesnt share their stories

No, sadly, most people do not have such awesome people in their lives. That is why those of us who are awesome must constantly strive to make the world around us a better place. If you don't have an awesome person in your community maybe you should start doing cool/funny stuff and make awesome happen yourself.

4chan, FJ and Facebook have different ways of telling these stories, say if someone would find a dime on the bus, here's how it would go down on these different sites.

Facebook:
Cool, found a dime on the bus today!
[photo of dime in hand optional]

4chan:
>walk on to bus
>sit down
>see glorious shiny round object on the floor
>pick it up
>it's a dime
>mfw
>mfw i have no face
>pic unrelated

FJ:
I found a dime on the bus today! Thumb up for more!

tumblr:
oMG U GUyZ!
SO I was in the bus today minding my own business and listening to dr.who fansongs
AND I FOUND A DIME ON THE FLOOR THIS IS THE BEST DAYS EVER I CAN DIE NOW

Not for nothing, but this is the kind of **** that makes people generalize musicians and artists as lazy, job-less hacks. I went to a Music Theory class and the teacher always made sure we were focused, and actually in the class to learn music and not **** around completely (while still allowing the class to be fun) because she didn't want the class to be filled with people who just sat around on their asses all day after a lesson and not learn an instrument which the class was intended for on top of the usual study.

Sure. Even though that there isn't much going on in the song, there are still things to notice.
After the intro, when the verse comes in, the piano plays on the first beat a single note, and on the second, the whole chord. Try counting 1, 2, 1, 2 etc during the verse and you will hear how the piano is going.
On 1:26 after Gary says "mad world", there is this synth sound that resembles the sound of wind, something mystique, i don't know how to ******* describe it, but you can hear it.
After 1:35 is joining in a cello (i'm not sure if it's a cello, i need to start studying otchestration) that plays the same chords with the piano.

Notice in the pre-chorus that whenever he accents a word such as "funny" or "dying" there is a slight change that denotes happiness instead of the sadness up until that point.

During the chorus the piano still goes like in the verse ; 1, 2 ,1 ,2; but it's added that melody over it.

This kind of thing is what i want to see taught in schools, theory makes no sense if you're not interested and studying Mozart's death is more or less useless.
Also, the song choice was very good for i wanted to tell

If there is another song you want me to cut up, go ahead and ask me, explaining something is the only way to show that you can understand it

Chill, a lot of songs i listen to are about 25 minutes, so 7 minutes is okay
And in this is song is a lot going on, just so you know.
It's best to start off with the instruments used in the song, being more than Gary Jule's.
There are the drums, a bass guitar, 2 electric guitars, 1 acoustic and a piano (and a tambourine but nobody gives a **** about that)
In the intro you have two guitars playing at the same time, hence the full sound of the melody. During the chorus, even though it seems like some major change, it's just the bass and drums joining. When he says "Layla" or "mind"there are about 3 voices backing him up.
Even during the solo the main melody is still playing.

After 3:10 come the grand piano, joined again by the rest of the instruments, and after 4:50 comes in the acoustic guitar playing the same thing with the piano. The electric guitars use a metal thing called "slide" that give it that continuing sound.

When two instruments, or the voice for that matter, play the same notes, it means they are harmonizing, offering depth to the song.

Another pro tip: most songs are in 4/4, so you can count: 1 2 3 4, to know when the next bar is coming up, if you want to blast into a dance or start singing during the chorus. Everybody hates the guy that starts singing later or before the song, so this is the easy way out.

There's a lot more to say about this song, but telling them through text sucks.

As a closing note, try hearing each instrument on its own, and how they blend in together.

You basically notice all the rhythms and patterns. "Oh, that's the blablabla pattern over and over with some harmony in Ab."
Everything sticks out as an individual piece, you can basically cut up the song as you're listening to it, and it's an automatic thing after you learn enough about music and it's theory.

Anon put it out pretty well. Also, learning theory will enable you to listen to more kinds of music. If we're talking about rock, every beginner will listen to AC/DC or something similar because it's very easy and you can "dissect" the song.

This is the reason most people have a hard time listening to jazz, classical, progressive metal, etc... It's just a bunch of noise making little sense, just like making somebody that hasn't studied math read a book on rocket science.
