Fanfics can actually be pretty decent, if written write. Good writing isn't limited to completely new ideas.

So the dude in the back and the chick go back in time, and they come across a child version of the dude(his nickname is Hentai-san). She(name = Tsukiko) has a crush on him, but older hentai-san is, as his name suggests, a massive pervert. So upon seeing her crush while he was still pure, she goes nuts.

The Demonata was 10 books long and written by the same author as Cirque du Freak which was really good too, and it was so ******* good. and the feels, oh the feels. i would recommend it to ANYONE. But reading such a long series, the "end of book loneliness" is even more harsh
