Outside of Nagasaki and Hiroshima, there has never been detonated nuclear weapons anywhere in warfare

Israel dropped a nuke on Syria two months ago.

If you read that article about the bunker buster used in Syria being similar to a nuclear bunker buster developed by boeing, there was a UN investigation and no residual radiation consistent with the detonation of any nuclear weapon was found. And the UN is not especially fond of Israel, so there's no incentive for them to cover it up.

That being said, if they did nuke syria, good on them.

It's not one being developed, they got it back in '08.

I didn't say being developed, I said developed by. And what happened in syria is a targeted HE/Incendiary "shock and awe" style bomb. It's designed to look a lot like a nuke, to demoralize enemies and also give them incentive to leave the area.

I misread the "developed" part, that's my bad. Where did you hear it was a shock and awe bomb?

Didn't hear anything. When you get a chance, though, if your internet cooperates, take a look at this video from the initial bombing of baghdad.
You need to login to view this link

Any HE/Incendiary bomb dropped straight down will initially make a mushroom cloud.

That's not the same bomb. The one in Syria was much brighter than the sun, a lot louder, and was 4 kilometers from the camera.

No, it's not the same bomb. It's a similar bomb, bigger, but the same type. If it had been a nuclear bomb, the shockwave would have shaken the camera and there's a high likelihood that the camera would have stopped working entirely. EMP is an unavoidable part of any nuclear detonation, especially airbursts.

The nuclear EMP was recently shown to be false. And am I the only one that saw the camera shake when the shockwave hit?

"Nuclear EMP was recently shown to be false" Okay, I'm done arguing with you. For the same reason I don't argue with religious people about evolution. While it is true that a nuclear explosion does not cause a high level EMP directly, an airburst excites the ionosphere enough to cause an EMP event even in the smallest of nuclear explosions.

Atomic and Nuclear weapons are the same damn thing. And no, Israel didn't nuke Syria. The video babbylicious linked is not showing a nuke just because it's a mushroom cloud.

Exactly! Given enough explosive power, a bomb could make a mushroom cloud

Alright what is the difference? A nuclear bomb gets it's destructive force from a nuclear reaction, i.e either fission alone or fission and fusion. Now what's special about atomic bombs?
