Thumb me down, I don't care. The whole situation was ****** up and both parties were wrong. But the media turned this whole thing into a ******* circus. People need to see the TRUTH.. This post is more about the bias of the mainstream media, not so much about the incident itself..

It really pissed me off that all background information on Trayvon was banned from the trial and then the prosecution got hysterical about how Trayvon was "profiled" when Zimmerman said he looked like he was up to no good and on drugs. Bitch, he was currently under suspension for drugs, he had THC in his system. He also had previously suspended for fighting and the ownership of burglary tools and stolen jewelry. Zimmerman's "profile" of him was pretty spot on.

You know what really annoys me? Zimmerman was found not guilty on all accounts for murdering a teenager, while a black woman, in the same state, is rotting in prison for 20 years for defending herself against domestic abuse by firing a WARNING SHOT.

Seems legit.

www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/19/marissa-alexander-gets-20_n_1530035.html

"An argument ensued, and Alexander said she feared for her life when she went out to her vehicle and retrieved the gun she legally owned. She came back inside and ended up firing a shot into the wall, which ricocheted into the ceiling."

She walked out of her house, grabbed a gun from a car, walked back into her house, and fired at a guy. She wasn't fearful for her life, she wasn't being attacked, she was able to move freely around. She attacked a man with a firearm without just cause.

So here's a thought. If ZImmerman didn't have a gun with him, and he got beat to death, do you think any of us would even hear about it?

A rundown quick
Local neighborhood watch spots 17 year old Trayvon walking around the neighborhood. Call it racial profiling but trayvon was not a local and was in an gated community that had recently witnessed a string of crimes. Was he wrong to single him out? maybe but he was within his legal right to do so as a duly appointed watch. He then phones 911 where the operate states that that an officer is on rout and not to peruse however 911 operators have no legal power and it is not mandatory to follow their advice. It should be noted that unlike what the media portrays he did not peruse after being told not to having already moved several meters from his car prior to phoning the police. next Zimmerman and Trayvon get into a scuffle, how they came into contact is debated with several witnesses claiming Zimmerman pursue and more claiming Trayvon doubled back. During the altercation Trayvon wound up on top of Zimmerman where he inflicted several lacerations on Zimmerman head by bashing it into the ground after which Zimmerman drew his handgun and shot Trayvon. It should be noted that this is factually text legal self defence. Regardless of wither or not Zimmerman was in the wrong to pursue or profile Trayvon.

I think what pisses me off most about this case is the "It's because he was black" ******** . Yeah, there are some real racists in the world, and they are an absolute pile of scum. But trying to play the race card when this guy was assaulting someone and then got shot? Get ****** . Being black has nothing to do with it. If some guy, white, black asian, hispanic, I don't give a flying monkey **** , was assaulting me to the point I felt my life was in danger, yes, I would defend myself, be shooting if I had to.

- The one big "witness" against Zimmerman was the girl that was on the phone with Trayvon as it was happening. Not only did she use racial slurs in court she got information wrong, such as the amount of shots fired, basically nullifying her entire account.

- Zimmermans account, agreed with by Bullet Wound experts along with I believe a "martial arts" expert, is this: He say Trayvon, thought him suspicious. Called the cops and was told not to follow. He believed Trayvon was getting away so he gave a short chase with his gun still holstered and not saying anything more threatening then "Hey come here" He then went back to his vehicle and was approached by Trayvon. He then reached in the car to call the police and Trayvon hit in the back of the head. Like any normal man that has been blindsided, he went down. Trayvon jumped on him and banged his head on the ground somehow. Saw the weapon, reached for it, Zimmerman got it first and shot.

The police never even formally directed him not to follow, they just stated that they didn't need him to pursue, so even in that regard he didn't disobey them

The media is totally biased, no doubt. But how the hell was Treyvon Martin wrong in this?
User avatar #32 to #22 - bothemastaofall (07/14/2013) [-]
There is no proof to what you say.
In America, you are innocent until proven guilty. No proof, no crime.
I'd call him innocent too.

******* christ you're a racist aren't you? Zimmerman should be killed because he shot an innocent youth.

Wow treyvon martin had pictures, ok? It's a ******* picture dude. He's holding up his middle fingers. Does that mean he's a killer? **** no. The facts clearly show that Zimmerman is guilty

Following someone on a public road isn't a crime.
Asking someone what they're doing on a public road isn't a crime.

Punching someone in the face is battery.
Knocking someone to the ground, sitting on their chest, pounding their head into concrete, reaching for a gun, and saying, "You're gonna die tonight, ************ " is attempted murder.

The use of deadly force in that situation is justified.
