how did I beat this game at nine is the question I ask myself as I replay it on the ps3 today
User avatar #96 to #6 - seapuss (07/13/2013) [-]
Oh my days...
I replayed it last summer but i got stuck on that part where the hideout gets attack by those 3 bots :/
Finished to game back in march though

That was my favorite series of all time, then the fourth one turned into a racing game, dafuq naughty dog

The mission where you have to deliver the dark eco the sports arena withing a certain amount of time, all whilst on the weakest vechicle (the bike) and the crimson guards chasing after you.

**** that **** .

Rage so ******* hard, 10/10, still gets me today.

(At least you get a sweet hoverboard though.)
User avatar #101 to #36 - kietzu (07/13/2013) [-]
The one where you get to Keiras workshop?

Just do the pumping station mission first. After helping Ashley she gives you a security pass that enables you to skip a big part of the delivery mission.

Jack 2&3 are probably the greatest games ever IMO. The last boss in Jack 2 took me about two weeks when I was 7. My sister beat it on her first try on her play through. The rage i had in my small child heart was insurmountable at that moment.

Got the HD Collection and started replaying all three games. Fighting your way to the metal head nest was the hardest part for me. Also the collecting one of the pieces of mar by the slums and you get ambushed by crimson guards. Did anyone else just press square and x all the way to the end to avoid gunfire?
User avatar #43 to #6 - grieze (07/13/2013) [-]
how the **** did you beat it?! i got stuck trying to get to green zone every single god dam time and if you just hit one, i repeat one ******* crimson guard you just done ****** up!

Jak and Daxter. My first ever game, EVER. I had just recently bought a PS2 (by I, I mean my mom), and my 9 yr old self was excited as **** ! It was amazing! I loved Sentinel Beach and Forbidden Jungle so much I played them over and over again for a whole 2 weeks! Then I got my memory card, and it was even better! This obviously led me to buy Jak 2 and Jak 3. I replayed them all recently, (now 22) and I am amazed at how good the storyline was.
User avatar #91 to #90 - kabuthefox ONLINE (07/13/2013) [-]
they were all good games indeed
i just didnt like how they turned the series into a gta-like game, it wasnt bad but the transition couldve been better
User avatar #92 to #91 - deathstare (07/13/2013) [-]
The "A grav zoomer", that rare ************ in Jak and Daxter, only around for 3 or so missions. It moved fast as a ****** running to KFC seconds before it closes, and it could jump! Oh! The sweet sound it makes when it jumps! "RRREeeeaRrrouuu!" It was the best feeling ever! Jak 2, I'm missing the "A grav zoomer" already, well, at least I still have Daxter. Then I took my first steps outside and HOLY **** WHAT THE **** BALLS! They're everywhere! In DIFFERENT shapes and sizes and colours, oh my! Not even that, they can change heights! YES!!!!
User avatar #298 to #10 - rhiaanor (07/14/2013) [-]

**** yeah mate, just because it's hard doesn't mean it's not awesome.
#12 to #11 - mortallis (07/13/2013) [-]
i first beat it when i was 9 or 10, but then at 17 (so like 6 month ago) i was just like **** it, im borrowing a ps2 so i can bust out jak 2 and 3 again, but this time around i did it with all 286 precursor orbs for the fun of it. back in the day the hardest part was definitely when you got a piece of the seal of mar and had to get through a million krimzon guards out of the slums
User avatar #13 to #12 - horehey (07/13/2013) [-]
I'm stuck at the mission where a ******** of flying crimson guards come at you and you have to shoot them and the ship.
#54 to #13 - JHDog (07/13/2013) [-]
ohhh I remember that mission. you're on a turret and there will be times when a flying crimson guard would fly under your turret and you couldn't ******* aim because he was out of reach. That **** was hard!!
#16 to #13 - mortallis (07/13/2013) [-]
dont know which one you mean exactly, but considering i beat the game like 4 times its kinda easy for me, and jak 3 is even more noob friendly (still decent difficulty though).
User avatar #18 to #16 - horehey (07/13/2013) [-]
Jak 3 was only easier because the time challenges leave you with room to **** up a little, and you can get more health
Jak 2's time challenges are made with the perfect amount of time to do it perfectly.

The thing I love about older games, like these, is that there is no difficulty rating. There is no easy normal advanced hard.

then allow me to help you. assuming youve beat all the missions and gotten all the red coins in the secret switch levels AND you got 100 coins in each level its probably a star missing in the secret levels. one we all miss easily is the beating princes peach's slide in under 1:20. if you beat it at 1:20 you wont get the second star! another one easily missed is the star in the hole adjacent to the rainbow ride levels. Also when you do get all 120 stars bowser says something completly different when you beat him and yoshi has a typo in his speech. Good luck and Happy Hunting.

It's more so like yo uare paying for an interactive movie. The gameplay is kind of bland aswell as the enemies, and the story is kind of cliche, but overall the presentation and astounding AI carries the game. THough in my honest opinion, it is the most overrated game of this year, so far anyway.
