I like his message but I just want to point out that the US isn't a Christian nation.
User avatar #24 to #14 - timmywankenobi (07/11/2013) [-]
you may want to take a look at the old declaration of independance again buddy.
#36 to #24 - anonymous (07/12/2013) [-]
>"old declaration of independence"
>"old"
User avatar #17 to #14 - fargone (07/11/2013) [-]
You're right, but a lot of people seem to have missed that memo.
User avatar #25 to #17 - timmywankenobi (07/11/2013) [-]
according to the founding fathers America was built on "Christian Values" so yeah.
#26 to #25 - anonymous (07/11/2013) [-]
Nope, America is one of the few countries ever to have been founded specifically independent of any formalised religion.

All the 'In God we trust' crap is less than 50 years old.
User avatar #28 to #26 - timmywankenobi (07/12/2013) [-]
I never said it was dependant on any church I said it was founded on values from christianity.
#35 to #28 - anonymous (07/12/2013) [-]
It's a very distinct difference however. Christian values are hardly unique, nor original, so it is incorrect to label the US as being a 'Christian nation' when the founding fathers themselves deliberately made sure that their fledgling country was not bound to a specific religion.
User avatar #37 to #35 - timmywankenobi (07/12/2013) [-]
okay then anon, there's no point in arguing semantic.
User avatar #12 - timmywankenobi (07/11/2013) [-]
gather round Fjer's and I'll explain this issue, you see many Americans suffer from what I call "Dr.Asshat syndrom" you see Dr.Asshat is a fictional person I invented to express a point. now one day Dr.Asshat meets a cancer patient and says "your dying because your weak and pale; stop being so ******* weak and pale and you'll be fine, it's your own damn fault you're dying ! if you don't want to die stop being a weak pale ****** !! "
what Dr.Asshat fails to see is that their are many factors that cause cancer but he is only judging what is most aperent on the surface. The same is true for many Americans views on homeless-ness .

still better than the government forcing people to share...
User avatar #13 to #8 - timmywankenobi (07/11/2013) [-]
true but if the government has to use fore to get you to share your kind of an ******* .
#7 - anonymous (07/11/2013) [-]
I don't feel bad for the homeless at all. They obviously ****** up somewhere in life and now have to pay the consequences. they get no sympathy or empathy from me. They deserve what they have.
#18 to #7 - anonymous (07/11/2013) [-]
so did you
#20 to #18 - anonymous (07/11/2013) [-]
... what? I have a house. I'm in it right now...
#9 to #7 - iamundecided (07/11/2013) [-]
Then there are those who are born into poverty, those who have conditions that are incredibly difficult to treat. Yes it is true some of them are homeless due to their own actions, while others have no choice. Not everything is black and white.
#10 to #9 - anonymous (07/11/2013) [-]
A homeless child is completely different than a homeless man. I'm talking about homeless adults. Once you are old enough to get a job if you're still homeless then you're a lazy sack of **** and deserve to be where you are.
User avatar #11 to #10 - timmywankenobi (07/11/2013) [-]
thats a very childish view of a very complex problem. also consider this, companies rarely hire people who don't have adresses or phone numbers.
#21 to #11 - anonymous (07/11/2013) [-]
Companies don't, but there are jobs you can find. You will have to work fast food or some **** , don't expect to work in a big business. You will start at the ******* bottom.
User avatar #22 to #21 - timmywankenobi (07/11/2013) [-]
1.homeless people do very often work as day labour. even fast food places almost never hire homless people mate.
#27 to #22 - anonymous (07/11/2013) [-]
Well then find work like the damn Mexicans. They mow lawns, build **** , and will do whatever you want them to do. Money is money.
User avatar #29 to #27 - timmywankenobi (07/12/2013) [-]
thats what they do but their isn't enough work and some jobs only mexicans will do .
#30 to #29 - anonymous (07/12/2013) [-]
"Some jobs only mexicans will do."

They need to get the **** over themselves. Where does this false sense of entitlement comes from? You have no reason to feel accomplished and like you deserve anything.
User avatar #32 to #30 - timmywankenobi (07/12/2013) [-]
I guess some homeless people have standards or maybe they make more money begging then picking fruit.
#33 to #32 - anonymous (07/12/2013) [-]
Which is why I ******* hate them. They are lazy sacks of **** .
User avatar #34 to #33 - timmywankenobi (07/12/2013) [-]
a few might be.
#16 to #11 - anonymous (07/11/2013) [-]
I'm sorry, I'm just a stupid anon that doesn't understand anything about economics or politics because I've been sheltered my whole privileged life by mommy and pops.
User avatar #23 to #16 - timmywankenobi (07/11/2013) [-]
apology accepted.
#31 to #23 - anonymous (07/12/2013) [-]
Don't accept that apology, different anon.

Actually Id say the poor get quite a bit of help. But you cant expect either religious organizations or the government to just keep giving them money until they are no longer poor.

The poor are poor cause they're lazy
User avatar #5 to #3 - robertolee (07/11/2013) [-]
Congratulations on the most ignorant comment of the day.
#15 to #5 - anonymous (07/11/2013) [-]
It's actually true. Homeless people ****** up somewhere along the way. And if they were, as some say, 'born into it', it's pretty ******* simple to start small and build up until you have a life and career. They're just ******* lazy
User avatar #19 to #15 - loomiss (07/11/2013) [-]
It is already hard enough to get a job as it for the non-homeless now imagine filling out an application and you don't have a phone number or address to list, because you are ******* homeless.
Yes, a lot of them are lazy bums, but some have just fallen into some very tough times and I will give them sympathy as should you.
