Reasons I don't like In n Out (and I am a native Californian):

-it's not cheddar, they call it "yellow cheese" (no joke. ask them. technical name is "American Cheese," but I sure as hell don't want to claim it as mine)
-the grilled onions taste like vinegar and death
-their "secret spread" is hardly distinguishable from Thousand Island Dressing (and I hate mayonnaise)
-the patties are 1/8lb (that's about equivalent to a McD kids burger but more expensive - no i don't eat there either, but if i want a burger, I don't want to play hide and seek with the patty)
-fries are either Poseidon's asshole salty (extremely rare) or completely unsalted (almost always)
-too expensive. 5 guys are actual hamburgers of the same quality and only slightly more expensive (50% more protein in a one patty burger (small hamburger) for about 75 cents more) - and they are opening up everywhere in CA.
-BUT it's the only place I know of that will make you a Neapolitan Shake.

also, they don't do what is in the picture anymore. I think the highest they will go up to now is a 6x6 or a 10x10.

3/10 would not eat.
Way better is Burgerville in Portland area. Best shakes and burgers I've had in a restaurant.

While I understand you may have an opinion, I must respectfully disagree with you and say that they are indeed, my favorite burgers. And as for the Neapolitan shake, thank you for this information.
