my mum worked 15 for her masters in teaching and now there's no teaching jobs available so that's kind of like a kick in the nuts.
several of the jobs she applied for actually said she was over qualified because they didn't have enough budget in the school to pay someone with a masters so they chose people with bachelors degrees over her.

Oh ummm wasn't supposed to be a pity kind of post we're pretty well off as it stands because she's good at playing the stock market and being frugal plus I pretty much get to go to college for free because of an ass ton of scholarships+american social security what I mostly meant is that the whole masters degree thing can be kind of silly in the long run compared to just getting into the field and doing stuff with a bachelors, at least in the area of teaching.
