Tennant had some botchy effect man. Albeit Eccelston had some worse ones but the effects were non too special until Smith.



all that said tennant is still my favorite...

Anything pre smith has wonky effects. The first great special effect i can think of in classic who was the first dalek and that was 1st doctor. In classic who the Daleks were probably the only really good looking prop/effect. They didn't even get proper CGI until late Tennant episodes.
